i thought godzilla tickets don't go for sale till next week
yeah same here
I haven't seen anything in regards to this. Since he is amphibious I would assume after he wakes up from his hibernation he may grab a whale or two. He has sharp teeth so if I were to guess I would say he is a carnivore. I don't think they will touch on this in the movie. Maybe showing a whale torn to shreds on a beach would be cool though.
What city is this IMAX you work at in? I live a mile from one but in a smaller town
are these figures gonna be sold at walmart?
this would be awesome if they did
It's probably the muto that lacks wings as most of the damage is done on the ground!
are these figures gonna be sold at walmart?
oh i didn't know somebody else posted this already
Someone posted this before, and it makes me chuckle everytime I hear it.
Welcome JMtrude and I hope you have a good time here.
As for my thoughts, I will have to speculate that it is one of the MUTOs, as others have. Though, I will not speculate on which one.
2 hours and15 minutes?!?!?!?!!!
YESSSS!!!!!!!!!
Too much excitement!
@Demplex- I just attempted to edit my post to include that information, but apparently I am incapable of doing so for some reason.
Everyone please click this link for more!
Gbetta confirmed it to be 2 hrs and 15 mins according to the online sales
As I said before that Godzilla movie better satisfy all of the hardcore G-Fans which include me.
COOL...COOL....COOL...COOL
Oh my god that is actually great news! We have a perfect length for a perfect film! Thank you so much.
My guess is the 8 eight legged MUTO (Or six legged I don't remeber). In the newest trailer there's a monitor where you see it attacking what looks like Vegas, so that's my guess. Welcome to the forums!
@Gman288 & Something Real- Thank you very much both of you. The repeat posts were just simply getting much too much out of hand.
@Gojira429- Yes, I was having issues yesterday a bit after I made this post. The mods/admins will have fixed it now, and may explain what happened soon enough.
Idk the onbad stuff that has happened with me this year is that I lost a few celebrities that i love thats all.
I know this isn't relevant to this topic but still. was godzilla-movies down for any else yesterday? or was it just me.
LOL! Fandango is a pro-wrestler from WWE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!:)
Well yeah, OP. Wasn't there always this undertone about Godzilla representing nature in some way, as you said. Not necessarily in-your-face supernatural stuff, but more a representation of nature's wrath. Instead of an earthquake, hurricane or volcanic eruption, you get a more animalistic manifestation.
As for supernatural stuff, the Mothra series had more overt magical quality to it as did some of the Gamera entries. If we add wizards, spells and and stuff like that, we'll be moving into Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter territory. And kaijus would become merely dragons (i.e. Smaug) to be slayed.
I'm not personally against some supernatural touches to the Godzilla series (after all, that has existed in one form or another in a number of the Toho entries), With the right direction, some supernatural element in the film could work. But I prefer they tread lightly on it and not overdo it too much.
Good post, OP. We'll know the real running time soon enough.
Mediafreak- I agree, Half Century War was a cut above the rest in terms of story and character. I would love to see an anime of that.
Godzilla Himself-Yeah, the animation and look of Godzilla has to be up to standard for a start.
Devianteist-That gave me an idea, maybe we'll be suggesting a Godzilla vs Cthulu anime soon! Don't know what the Lovecraft fans would think of that though...:)
^That's hilarious.
I have no idea what a CM Punk or a Batista is and I'm not sure I want to take the seconds of time from my life to google either one...
The school thing sucks though. That seems to be enough to put any youngster's year on the damper.
As has been said multiple upon multiple times in the plethora of repeat topics on this thread. The run time is not 98 minutes. Google has confused it with the running time of the original, 1954 film. Topic closed.
I'm going to sticky this so more can see it. No more repeat topics on this guys. I've had it.
Devianteist, thanks for making this to explain to those what's going on with the run time.
Yeah, MaggleShackel and GodzillaHimself seem to be on a sensible track.
I think that, maybe, just maybe, Godzilla isn't truly the last of his kind. There are others, but they are dormant, and have chosen simply to remain hidden.
More far-fetched than anything, but it's at least feasible.
Here's my version for a sequel to Tokyo S.O.S.
Godzilla X Hedorah. When Godzilla returns from the ocean after his last battle with Kiryu, the two mothras, now fully grown, try to stop him from causing destruction. Meanwhile, a large cloud of noxious gas is moving it's way across Japan. It is an organism that feeds off pollution and CO2, named Hedorah. Now, Godzilla and the mothras must face off against this creature before it turns all of Japan into ashes.
Here another sequel to Tokyo S.O.S
Godzilla x Spacegodzilla. Godzilla has been dorman for a long time. The JXDF decides to remove with their store of G-Cells, and using a small propulsion rocket, fire it into space. It flies into a hole in space time and is lost. A few months later, Godzilla returns, and the army move into attack. Suddeny, a large creature appears from space, and it looks a lot like Godzilla. It is named Spacegodzilla. Now Godzilla battle his space double in a titanic showdown.
So there ya go.
@SmaugTheMagnificent- You're kidding? A Cthulu anime? See now, with that on the table, surely Godzila could make the cut!
The comment above me has been removed. Thank you mods and/or admins. Thank you very much.
@monstermovieguy
This thread isn't really a good discussion thread. I'm just sayin'.
