Something Real,
He isn't from space. But he has traveled in space before and fought many monsters from space.
Sweet! It's about time Gamera made a return! I can't wait.
gozilla 1975 (terror of mechagodzilla) probably because they made the suit have those shiny big eyes that make him look cute.
Its a 2 hour movie,in KING KONG kong wasnt always there but when he was it was awsome soooo not gonna worrie.
Delete-double post.
Is this merely a wish from some over eager fan or real? It dosen't say anything about which studio is doing this or the producer or director...
AWSOME!!! i was hope'ing for another GAMERA movie hope its better than the last one it was ok just a little too kiddy.
Probably the original 1954 Gojira(with no Raymund Burr) and Godzilla Final Wars. But now my favorite is going to be Godzilla 2014!
Gojira is easily the better film, that much is clear. A big problem with Hollywood back then, as well as today, is the assumption that Western audiences require a white cast in order to be compelled to care about the film. That being said, I think Godzilla: KotM could have been a lot worse (I'm thinking KKvsG) in terms of Westernization and although it has some glaring faults, I believe the fact that it works at all is due to Burr. He brought a gravitas to the role that complimented the tone of the original. I mentioned this in another thread a bit ago, but I'm thankful that Burr was picked for Morse for this version. By all accounts, he seemed to take his role in Godzilla history seriously and would later refuse to desecrate Gojira(84) with a lampoon-style redux.
To be honest, Godzilla didn't appear much in his older films. But man, when he does appear, it does not dissapoint!
@BIGBADBEN The truth is simply being the original doesn't inheriantly make it better.
What you guys have been saying about the added scenes are true. You can't splice in 45mins of new footage on a limited budget and expect to add anything meaningful to the proceedings. I'm thankful for Raymond Burr's participation however, because according to interviews in Steve Ryfle's "Japan's Favorite Mon-Star" the inital concept was a "What's Up, Tiger Lilly?" style lampooming that was scrapped when he refused to undermine the serious anti-nuclear themes in the film.
I think, however, that the added scenes don't take too much away from the human drama because in the Japanese version, the characters are waffer thin anyway. Think about it: None of them go through any meaningful story arc, they don't learn anything, change, or even die. They all serve as plot devices as opposed to real people. Hiroshi exists to see Godzilla appear. Goro exists to find him. Dr. Hayashida exists to find a way to get rid of him and Naoko exists to look doe-eyed and helpless. The Prime Minister is the only one left who really has to do any real soul-searching in his story and although a lot of his musings on whether or not to use the bomb on Godzilla are lost in the American verision, at least he looks like a badass for standing up to the world's two superpowers without having to call a cabinet meeting.
This is the italian
As I've said before I find Mothra an okay monster, but not one of my favorites. I like the new breath she brings in by always being good and the ultimate light of justice while most of the others could be categorized as anti heroes to villains, but I also find the trait weakening. Sure it's nice to see that one is a generally good character, but for a character that's been brought back so many different times the story never changes. She's always right, always the winner(to the point her underdog status she had at first doesn't really apply anymore) and just generally all her movies seem very similar. Watch Mothra, Mothra vs Godzilla, Godzilla vs Mothra, and Tokyo SOS. All these movies include either the fairies getting stolen, or the adult dying and the larvae continuing the fight. I find Mothra weak after the showa series. She just didn't bring anything new after that. Sure they made her a guardian monster in GMK, but that's essentially the same role she had before without fairies, almost nothing is different about guardian monster Mothra and regular Mothra except the guardian monster isn't as strong.
If I had to choose a favorite version it would be the Showas series by actions she does but the Mothra from Tokyo SOS in terms of looks of both her and the fight.
I‘m sorry for my English(I am a Chinese)
It is exciting to see the KING's back!

The strongest Kaiju return to the screen--Godzilla!
Think about it, the classic movies do not show the monster much until the third act. "Jaws", "Alien", "Jurassic Park", 'Moby Dick", "King Kong", "Cloverfield" and Godzilla 1954 used anticipation to enhance the suspend, and then proceeded to a big payoff so the audience could leave the theatre satisfied. The sequels showed more of the monsters so the excitement wasn't as intense (except for "Aliens", which I thought was a better film"). To me it was a little strange that the movie only had a budget of $160 million. You'd think that If Pacific Rim" had a budget of $190 million, that Godzilla would have to equal that or surpass it. But if Godzilla has limited screen time, then that would mean less GCI.
By far the BEST trailer of them al!!
The one MUTO looks just like a cockroach with really long legs.
Wow!! This sounds GREAT!!!
in the last page of the preview it shows more of it and it looks a lot like this,
Thanks @SOMETHING REAL :)
Wow, that's an awesome find!, nice job. I'm definitely more interested in news regarding the comic right now since unlike the film, we've had no info whatsoever.
BTW where'd u find this anyway?, suprised no one's had news on this or even taken notice yet.
I'm not going to say anything on this till I see the movie. I will say, however, that at least as far as the aforememotioned transformers movies go I was extremely disappointed by how little action there was in the first film until the end. It was a good movie and I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but I enjoyed the third film much more than the first (and the action in even the second more than the first) because there wasn't much of it. That being said we'll see how Godzilla turns out. I do want a good story and even if we aren't constantly seeing Godzilla as long as there's a lot going on and not a lot of standing around talking ill be more than content.
They should make a Detroit, MI Godzilla wallpaper
Ha. Nice. Sort of reminds me of the Godzilla alerts from vs. Biollante.
The Battle Scene of Godzilla and Muto 2014 Will Be Cool!
Seriously You Just Copied It From IMBD The Full Cast & Crew
For such a little thing im speechless. That was awesome.I'm bad at math can someone figure out how fast godzilla can swim for the times and how far off the coast he is.
Well, terrestrial means something like 'of this world' so this is pretty solid evidence that the muto(s) aren't aliens. If I'm wrong please correct me.
is it just me or does the monster at the end look a lot like this,
