It's not about being positive it's about realistic expectations....how many times has it got to be discussed...this is not a big movie for WB here in the states.....got it??? it's money will be made outside of this country....no need for a year long push in the states....doesn't make any sense for WB when the best this movie will do here is make the money back it cost to make it...

Way to think positive.

A movie is only going to be as popular as the marketing makes it...sure there will be a small resurgence amongst us Godzilla fans,...but for most people , not at all,...i'm sure most young people will think that the name Godzilla is a rip off of Bridezilla....think about that,....but, with no marketing, most young people won't care....minimal box office take at best here in the states.

Godzilla needs to be slow and lumbering. I love how Pacific Rim got that right. Godzilla should not be jumping around like a pro wrestler!

I cant see the photos. Could you describe your feeling towards this rock anyway, since i cant see it.

Well, since WB hasn't shown a real big interest in pushing this project,..i will say ,..Thor in November or the next Hobbit movie in December....but they will need a full blown trailer by then...not just a teaser ,..if they hope to reap anything here in the states...but as we all know,..this movie is gonna make it's money everywhere except the states...so, it could still get a 4 week push like Pacific Rim got...Mid April perhaps...I guess my point is, don't expect a big push for this movie whenever it happens.

More fighting... Megalon appears! MKG Appears! fight... Megalon retreats! Orga rips 1 of Ebirah's caws off and it retreats into the water. fighting... Mega. flees! Titan., mothra, and Godzilla won!

Sidestory: Mecha-King Ghidorah finds a Black and green diamond on a distant planet and goes back to earth. a mad scientist steals the amethyst but then it transforms."AHHHHHHH!" main: Gigan awakens and calls megaguirus to him. he betrays mothra and she calls to the water creatures. Godzilla Fights a water USO underwater and blasts it into Gigan. its a fair 2v2 ... but wait! Titan. is back with Ebirah! a 4v2 but then the UFO turns into Orga! He rips Mothra's wing off and she's forced to retreat.

Title:Mothra and Megaguirus Insecttoids attack Plot: On an island mothra finds mega. she thinks mega. is Battra. after king ceasar "attacked" "battra" mothra tag teams him. Soon after they attack godzilla 2000 and damage him. he flees into the depths and is welcomed by a cackle. Godzilla and Titanosaurus Fight the insects and have them on the ropes but titan. goes into the depths again, forcing Godzilla to flee - again!

I feel Hedorah NEEDS a remach, he's been cheated out 2 or 3 times

Why Is everyone hatin on Hedorah? Gabara AT LEAST can use lightning. Kumonga and Gorosaurus are kind of bland, but they still have abilities, like kamacaurus's ability to camouflage. Zilla's bad, but he looks freakin AWESOME! Ebirah looks cool in final wars and has some beast concept art. Titanosaurus has an annnoying roar but is stlill AMAZING. Overall, the only truly TERRIBLE monster, except maybe minilla or gabara, is OODAKU (oorudakoo?), THE GIANT CONDOR

Biollante. While Orga has a shoulder beam, her acidic sap can easily combat it. While Orga can try to eat Biollante, she's so big that she'll be able to eat orga instead! and while Orga has more maneuverability, She can easily counter it with her ridiculous range and vines. She also can wrap him up with her vines and burrow underground. She just counters Orga in every way.

There's been a boatload of things people keep mentioning about the new Godzilla flick his look, the breath, as a musician I really hope they keep his theme music the same!

A tough choice to make! The 1954 [i]Gojira[/i] is of course the greatest. A true classic of the monster genre worldwide, not just Japan. But outside of that, I find I have to divide my favorites up by the decades they came out: 1950s - [i]Gojira[/i] '54 of course! (apologies to [i]Godzilla Raids Again[/i]) 1960s - [i]Destroy All Monsters[/i] 1968 - a bit of a controversial choice, as most Godzilla scholars consider [i]Mothra vs Godzilla[/i] the best of the 1960s. [i]M vs G[/i] '64 is indeed a great movie, and it had more hands-on FX work done by the great Eiji Tsuburaya than [i]DAM[/i] did. But ultimately, the big multi-monster throwdown in [i]DAM[/i] thrills me more. 1970s - [i]Terror of MechaGodzilla[/i] 1975 - I like the hippie weirdness of [i]G vs Hedorah[/i] and the design of the monster Gigan has always been a favorite of mine, but the quality is most consistent in [i]TOMG[/i]. 1980s - [i]Return of Godzilla[/i] ('84 Japanese version, no offense to Raymond Burr) 1990s - [i]Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla[/i] '93 - great Ifukube music score, a great revamp of MG. 2000s - [i]Godzilla, Mothra, MechaGodzilla: Tokyo SOS[/i] - another somewhat controversial choice. I really want to like [i]GMK[/i] 2001 best, and if Shusuke Kaneko had been free to do exactly what he wanted with the story and had more time to do so, I have no doubt it would be my favorite. But as it stands, I just really like that Kiryu MechaGodzilla design.

NO MAIN FOCUS ON LITTLE LITTLE KIDS (that includes little kids in short shorts humping cars).

Please keep every one of the important characters over the age of 18. No children allowed! We do not need any cute little kids making decisions for the stupid adults like in a few of the past films.

@Kaijukiller, seeing that most likely this will be an origin of Godzilla movie, humans wouldn't really have the need to develop that type of technology for GDF or even a Mechagodzilla.

I agree with you on everything other than Mechagodzilla. He is one of the most iconic monsters to date, my favourite being Kiryu. I think that they should implement some sort of Mechagodzilla figure into the film, preferably GDF like MGII and Kiryu.

Im pretty sure godzilla will have all of his trademark stuff the ONE and only important thing that i know he probably wont have is personality thats the one thing i would want to see a fully expessive face that includes eyes and sneering teeth,GODZILLA just didnt stomp in blankly and start f***ing stuff up, whenever he was faced with a strong enemy he had a look of surprise/anger on his face and when going against the military a look of disgust GODZILLA was very expressive espacialy in the 80's and 90's so thats what i want to see.

Yeah i dont know japanese so gonna have to pass on that but thanks for the info;im pretty sure they'll be on blueray next year i mean its another great way to premote GODZILLA 2014's release.

You can get most of the films on blu-ray if you don't mind importing them from Japan with no English language tracks or subtitles. I think Togo has released all of the films other than King vs Godzilla on blu for obvious license reasons. They will cost you a pretty penny, but the transfers are said to be gorgeous on them though.

It is pretty cool, but clearly fake because of the movie footage.

It's most likely that Echo Bridge might release more Godzilla films on Bluray. The Heisei Gamera trilogy also made it on Bluray, so why not?

Yeah i forgot GODZILLA1984/GODZILLA RETURNS has'nt made it to dvd i have it on vhs.

mabye they should mix together aspects of different kaiju from the godzilla/other kaiju series to get a different monster that reminded us of all the old ones at once?

I believe destroy all monsters has also been released. i wish 1985 would be released, but not likely. the company that owns the rights to the movie aren't doing anything with it, which is why there hasnt even been a DVD release yet!

OK, I want to see it, I really do... but I just don't. In my opinion, it's illusory and reinforced by our hopes for a cool opponent for Godzilla. Also, the helicopter and the soldier's seem to be focused more toward the center of the pic, and if a kaiju were off to the left, I think they would be paying more attention to it.

Let's let the new monsters be something new and not seen before, like Pacific Rim's kaiju were original with their looks and abilities. Genetic tampering was done with Godzilla vs. Biollante in 1989.

^Interesting idea about there being a reused roar, but I would like to know why everyone wants even the smallest essence of an old monster to be in this movie. I am all for a completely new monster that is unique, powerful, and has its own roar. I can't see a giant crocodile or something having Rodan's screech.

Jet Jaguar does deserve more screen time, and especially a new look, i do agree on the crappy look but he needs an upgrade
