Which monster do you think Godzilla will face First?

I highly doubt it's Mothra. It sounds more like Kamacuras (The mantis from Son of Godzilla). I wouldn't mind seeing that especially if it's the first fight to help Godzilla get over (talking in wrestling terms here). But I think it's just a brand new monster made for the movie. But if they use any Toho monsters here (I doubt it though) I would love for it to be The Smog Monster Hedorah. He would be a great opponent for the first movie and he is well known/ well received enough be just that. I would love it to be King Ghidorah, but I think it's safe to save him for the sequel.

Ya I agree the old monster were always the best but we need to see him fight bigger and better monsters to really show off Godzilla's powers and skills.

Most of them did show his power and skills off like King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla and Gigan and most of the others but we need an updated version of these movies now a days.

to answer your question i dont think that is the new monster in the film although i could be wrong from what i understand it is a centipede like creature something new that we havent seen and i also agree with you guys it would be awesome if we got updates on many of these old favorite films of the ishoro honda, eiji tsubaraya era

I don't think that is the monster from the footage at comic-con. From the descriptions, it sounded more insect-looking than that. But I think Godzilla will fight the creature from the comic-con footage first in the movie because I think Legendary is still keeping Godzilla's main foe(s?) under wraps as of now.

Must I say this again? GODZILLA'S TWO OPPONENTS IN THIS UPCOMING 2014 FILM WILL BE NEW! No Mothra, no Anguirus, and certainly no Kamacuras. The thing in the Comic Con trailer was only vaguely insect-like.
