Will definitely be going to see it opening night in 3D and I am taking that night off from work (I work third shift) just to go see it. I already have put in my vacation slip for it lol

It certainly looks that way doesn't it? I agree, it was leaked by someone within the Studio(s). Either as a controlled leak, or someone lost their job because of it - which is highly unlikely, since it would be a rather stupid risk to take just for a short clip. Better yet, before the video went "viral", it was on YouTube under the title "Fatman Trailer" for I think a week or two before actually getting pulled. Which further leads me to suspect that the video was a controlled leak by the Studio in an attempt to gain traction on the viral marketing campaign. Either way - it did its job and fans are raving about it. So, my hat's off to you, [i]Warner Bros.[/i] and [i]Legendary[/i]! Looks like Godzilla is going to kick ass! Can't wait.

Warner bros. pulled our YouTube upload of the video within 10 minutes, so that confirms the video's authenticity. Oh well, I'm not too bummed out that the video got pulled - it means the teaser is a mere weeks away from official release. Which is way more exciting!

Ok I can confirm a few legit things from this trailer in comparison to the finished one I saw at this years Comic Con panel. First is Bryan Cranston's character running down a hallway with people running the opposite direction. Second is Elizabeth Olsen's character hugging her son. Third is the attack on the airport with the explosion outside of the airport lobby window. The rest are presumably legit but weren't in the trailer I saw which had a monster, different Godzilla footage and a little more footage.

I'll definitely be seeing it opening night! In IMAX 2D for sure, and if it gets good reviews on the 3D I'll give it a shot in that format as well. Can't wait!

Seems legit. Although the sky diving scene seems off... the other scenes do seem to match what some described from the SDCC trailer. At least some parts, with Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston. Though I don't think this is the final product. Still interesting though!

@Taylour_Monster I also think Godzilla will be both a protagonist and antagonist, but I actually picture it the other way around from what you're describing. I think it would be more compelling if Godzilla starts as the threat and then ends up protecting Earth from the other monsters. As far as my idea for a tagline, how about something like... "Nature Will Reign"

I think the score will definitely be in the same style as the music used in the teaser. Desplat is really a perfect composer for this. While I immensely enjoy scores by composers like Hans Zimmer and Ramin Djawaldi, I really think Godzilla works best when a composer who is more of a "traditionalist" with subtle electronica in their scores is tasked with creating the music. Desplat has the talent and ambition to do something really special for Godzilla and I can't wait to get a first listen!

P.S. I like the Secret ending scene about a classic kaiju for the next movie

I'm liking what everyone here is saying, but I'm not sure about the final scene being Godzilla walking off into the ocean. I'm not saying that that shouldn't happen, i just think there will be at least some dialog after it, where the main character talk about how he could return. It is, after all, supposed to be a story about the people as well as about Godzilla. (or at least from what they've been telling us)

I don't think that they will be killing Godzilla in this, or at least not permanently, and I hope and pray I am right about that. However, I'm not against the oxygen destroyer, or at least something analogous to it. Some type of super destructive weapon we use to halt/deter Godzilla maybe? whatever it does doesn't matter to me very much, as long as it doesn't kill him, as long as it opens the door for Destroyah to appear in a sequel.

I'd like to see Destroyah or Ghidorah, but not as the first enemy. They are two of the most powerful kaiju godzilla has ever faced. For the first film I would use someone like angiru, rodan, megalon, or gigan.

Anguirus, Rodan, Gigan, Ghidorah, Megalon, SpaceGodzilla, and possibly even follow through with the old 98 Griffin idea.

Massive fight should ensue, lots of building destruction and what not, Godzilla and enemy monster should be at least evenly matched if the enemy not slightly stronger. Enemy monster over powers Godzilla a few times majorly pissing him off to the point that he conjures up his thermonuclear ray dumbfounding and just plain terrorizing all who witness it. Godzilla eventually wins, roaring victoriously and walks off disappearing beneath the waves with humans knowing that he will return. Credits role a bit only to stop at a \"secret ending scene\" revealing the emergence of a classic kaiju to appear in the sequel.

i would name it Malfest! he would shapeshift into other forms.hence the name ''malfest.'' he would be on all fours at the first stage and his final stage he would be on two.he'll have the agility like monster x and would be an unstoppable alien force.

Well,as long as the basic structure,motives,powers and style remain the same as the original Godzilla iterations,I have no further problems with Gareth Edward's approach.

i would choose......biollante and spacegodzilla mainly because their tough opponents for godzilla and because of biollante's sheer size now that this godzilla is going to be bigger than ever..it'll be perfect! and spacegodzilla cuz i just want to see him like u said ''proper modernization.'' imagine....

I loved the trailer music too!! It was a mix of "Requiem" from "2001 a Space Odyssey" and a track called "Monk with a bell" from the movie "Baraka". For overall fine film: Godzilla 54 (of course) Showa: Godzilla Vs Gigan Heisei: Godzilla Vs Destroyah Millenium: GMK. All Monsters Attack. Sorry, but I can't just narrow it down to one. Impossible because I love so many different G-films for different reasons. And even some of these I listed here could change depending on what day you talk to me.

i'm going to get in the opening night and watch in 3d with a lot of food and maybe watch it many more times.

I'm not entirely sure THEGMAN123, its also questionable whether atomic breath will make an appearance at all, though I imagine it most likely will, as to serve a tribute to fans and it is after all one of the King's main traits. I will say that I cannot imagine it being blue, or look like a beam of light (dragon ball Kamehameha style), the style of the film appears too gritty/what if this were real and would, if done wrongly, look out of place in the film. I'm baffled as to how they would execute it visually, but am definitely intrigued.

I say that they are in a refuge or some kind of skyscraper, somehow still standing, and that they are near the fight and godzilla lets it all out (atomic breath).

An event like this is worth the money spent on IMAX 3-D!

The real question then,KaijuChris,is how they intend on introducing the famous atomic breath. It has to be unexpected by the characters,seeing as how they're supposed to be seeing it and Godzilla himself for the first time.

at first i thought he was letting out a cry of pain if the other monster was biting him or something but i was wrong and after hearing it a bit more i like it still wish it was like the classic 1954 roar but this is the new era and the new style of technology and the new beast that is in the heart of this godzilla and i like it alot i can not wait for may 16th i will see you all there

yeah godzilla needs to walk off into the sunset so to speak and roll credits thats the way he needs to go out in this film as an unstoppable force that RAYMOND BURR QUOTE: NEITHER MAN NORITH MACHINES ARE ABLE TO STOP THIS CREATURE: end quote but his main antagonist needs to be one of these new monsters that we havent seen yet and should be stronger than godzilla so that he can have a challange on his hands but in the end defeat him/her with his most powerful weapon THE ICONIC ATOMIC BREATH ATTACK

I like it, but its a little cliché for me personally, would prefer something more ambiguous when it comes to the end scene. Don't have a clue what, would have to see a lot more footage to even consider what the last frame would be.

not to mention when bandai and others start selling collectibles i am going trigger happy with it on ebay plus i just might buy 2 of the dvds when released one to watch and the other simply to keep in its wrap for a collectors item as well
