The trailer was enough to clue me in to his height. I can't beleive that no one else is going to believe their own eyes. Or people simply don't see it...don't understand.

Some great finds. Love the first one! It conveys so much more of Godzilla's personality than most that I've seen. Maybe this is what Gareth Edwards was talking about when he described seeing Godzilla in CG for the first time?

I hear what your saying but I think that is just part of the music. It kinda does sound like him but most likely not because they said they dont have any of the other rights but you never know!

First Godzilla film I saw was 1985. We see his vision overlooking a fog covered city and then that security guard comes out, the ground cracks beneath his feet and than we pan up to see my first glimpse of Godzilla. I was hooked for life after that.

Sorry to say that Godzilla would win, now if it was the 1998 Zilla then we might have a different battle. I have heard of, in a book who's story is well before "The Hobbit" of Ancalagon the Black; a mountain sized Dragon! However, I see Smaug as the better dragon for he was smart enough to lay on his hoard for centuries, forming a diamond coat to protect the vulnerable underbelly. However, Ancalagon would have bigger muscles and hotter fire power than Smaug. Now I haven't seen, nor care to, the Desolation of Smaug movie because they got his look all wrong. All put it to you this way Godzilla killed an alien that woke up after 60 million years & with all that advance technology & strategy it had to take Godzillas DNA & conquer the world, Godzilla destroyed Orga the very next day & not a scratch was left on him. And then he went about his buisness, to finish destroying Japan. (Just another day at the office for Godzilla) LOL!!!

Duratok pretty much nailed it. I'm 99.9% positive everything he wrote is the honest-to-God truth.

This will be a full-on, orchestrated score. If anyone's done their homework on the film's composer, Alexandre Desplat, and kept in touch with the tone the filmmakers are going for, you would know this is going to have a fairly brooding, dark score.

Anyone who thinks there's going to be metal music, guitar solos or rock bands belting crap during the credits are kidding themselves. But I'm sure bad youtube videos will be made with that kind of stuff in about 6 or 7 months...

haha. that is a hilarious question. seriously though, even a black hole gun couldn't stop godzilla, smaug wouldn't stand a chance. think of it as a t.rex vs a komodo, the komod is pretty cool, and its tough, but its nothing to the t.rex. besides, smaug can't compare with king ghidorah.

Check ebay, type in Godzilla 2014 and there are a limited amount of items.  I checked two days ago and a majority of the items were the movie posters, even a few from Comic Con.  There still should be some listings that haven't been bought or expired yet.

I have to agree that the classic Godzilla theme/Godzilla's march is my favorite song.  I almost hope that they include it into the 2014 Godzilla but I almost doubt that they will.  It is a reboot and the theme might not fit this Godzilla but I hope that whatever theme is chosen is just as good as the old theme. 

man godzilla will win in a second. godzilla is bigger and there both lizards but there is so much that i dont know about smaug. to be honest i didnt see the hobbit trailer. at the end of the fight godzilla will win because he is almost invencable.

The fact that anyone is bashing this movie, after knowing very little about it is ridiculous. It's one of the reboots being made that actually looks GOOD. I mean, with so many remakes and reboots, one can get pretty frustrated. Just read Gavin's latest Terminator post on Scified - you'll see what I'm talking about. But Godzilla actually looks promising.

Who knows why this “reviewer” (and I use that term loosely) said the things they said, because as stated above this person (whose name I couldn’t find) never really said. With the exception of an overused word:

First of all, the 98 Godzilla movie didn’t work, because it wasn’t Godzilla.

Period end of story.

Promises were made and not followed through on. Fans were angry and took their anger to the internet and any other form of media they could. If we could figure out who the “reviewer” is, we would probably find out, he/she loved the 98 attempt at Godzilla which makes his/her opinion bias not relevant.

Pacific Rim was a fantastic movie, but not Godzilla. There is a difference for those who pay attention. I am betting this guy/girl thinks Sponge Bob square pants is a documentary about the sea sponge.

According to youtube views their views aren't even close. So while I didn't pay attention to the views the first week as I just watched them once and was done I highly doubt spiderman has since jumped to almost 10x the amount of views of the Godzilla movie trailer in the past few days.

Orchestra and horror/acepella. I want this to feel like a horror disaster movie. 

Stupid idiots have no knowledge of Godzilla, but i'm pretty sure once they see this film they will try to hop on the bandwagon. Hope they all die tomorrow fuck'em!

I'm pretty sure some dark metal rock themes will be in the movie. Possibly a nice solo guitar somewhere in the film.

To match the tone and quality of this Godzilla film, I honestly think orchestral is the only way to go.

I'm sure once the movie is released we'll see plenty of Youtube clip edits with poorly chosen music, as Youtube is want to do.

Spiderman is one of my favorite superheroes, but I think Godzilla will be vastly superior compared to The Amazing Spiderman 2. :)

Plus, the new Amazing Spiderman movies aren't that great (in my opinion).

My favorites are the 'Main Title' theme for Godzilla vs. Gigan, 'Godzilla's Rampage' from the original Gojira, and 'The Begining' from Godzilla 1998. :)

I dont like Amazing Spider-Man 2 personally because the suit is now CGI, which is lame because the first one used a real suit. I have nothing against CGI, its just that the Spider-Man franchise isnt the type to overuse CGI.

I just find the theme very retro and original. Since this movie is a remniscent of the original, I thought this would be a valid option. 

I thought the same thing when listening to it for the first time!
