That would kind of suck... but march really isnt that far away, plus two and a half minutes doesnt sound like a bad deal either
3 and a half feet tall? Sweet baby jesus that is huge. I dont care how old i am i would bust that thing out and play the crap out of it.
From what has been seen so far, it seems that his dorsal spikes will have an overall texture like the 2000 version and the overall posture of non-Final Wars versions, the spikes being around the same proportions as Showa/original, and a thicker-set facial/body structure like Heisei/original.
That is pretty damn big and I would love to own it but it would be too expensive though
A mix of Godzilla 2000 and GMK
@KYERO yes radiation in real life is random and dangerous, but this is a godzilla movie, so realsim of radiation doesn't really matter when you are making a movie about a mutant dinosaur thats +100 metres.
Hmmm looks like we'll be waiting later.
Oh well, toy fair is on the 16th anyway.
i see original + heisei + millenium and some element of zilla (look at the mouth of the recent toy leak)
Godzilla 1985 + Heisei + 2000.
Anyone notice what looks to be another part of the Muto or maybe just another Muto altogether in the train scene?
The middle window on the right side, look at the middle to top section of it. There appears to be spike, claw, pointy object, something. I could be seeing things and/or it could be a part of the train rail system. But just looks kinda strange to me...
I agree a lot with the 1984 comparisons. Both have a short snout and their spins don't start to get big until further down their backs. But it certainly has the posture of most of the Millennium designs.
My daikaiju story starts when I was in 8th grade, back in 2008. Middle school was terrible, so one night I decided to ease the pain by watching a movie from iTunes. I saw a banner advertisement for Cloverfield, and clicked on it, curious and unaware of the movie’s genre. Reading the iTunes plot description, I was apparently interested enough to purchase the movie, and soon afterwards began to watch it. I guess something about it was appealing, since it turned out that I loved it, and have rewatched it countless times since. It’s still my very favorite movie to this day.
Naturally, watching this giant monster movie led me to the daikaiju genre, and of course, Godzilla films. I was fascinated by every daikaiju movie I watched, and also began to explore other realms of science fiction. Now I have a growing collection of kaiju figures, a few stacks of Godzilla comics, a Godzilla VHS box set, a Godzilla board game and card game, Godzilla movie soundtracks, some daikaiju-themed shirts, 3 daikaiju movie posters, and my favorite game of all time, Godzilla Unleashed for Wii.
I’ve loved giant monsters since 2008, and will likely continue to love this genre long into the future, no matter what gender expectations dictate and what society thinks of my obsession. Haha. This has been the abridged story of my daikaiju love affair.
i do agree with kyero on the laws of physics part. although pherhaps godzilla oculd be possibe under ridiculously, ridiculously, ridiculously! rare circumstances, but im pretty much sure hes impossibe, and always will be impossible. besides, i sure as hell would not want something that dangerous to be real, as cool as it might look.
from what ive seen, a mixture of the origional, with 85 and a tiny bit of gmk(particularly in his posture and thick build), and a more graish-blue version of zillas skin slapped on
12 points isn't much when compared to the neca figure, it sounds like maybe he will be able to move his head, open his mouth, move his arms at the shoulder and at the elbow, move his legs at the hip and knee, and maybe his feet or a part of his tail.
but in any case: JESUS CHRIST THAT IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats like, nearly as tall as some people i know! taller that my litles cousins(for whom i will probably by this)!
I have a feeling he will be a mixture of godzilla 2000\godzilla 1985
@Jmac15
Did you not read? He just did...
I've already explained how I know three times now.
Because they don't mention his regeneration abilities in the Showa movies ever. Even if a character doesn't need to say it because it, "sounds really stupid" it still needs to be evident to the audience onscreen. There is no evidence within any of the individual movies themselves that he has regenerative cells. There has never been a recorded interview with any of the writers, directors or special effects directors from the Showa series that have said Godzilla has regenerative capabilities. They never wrote him to have that. There's even proof he doesn't since he didn't heal immediately from the wounds Hedorah, Gigan and MechaGodzilla gave him.
The only known Godzillas to have regenerative capabilities is the Heisei Godzilla and Godzilla 2000. Kazuki Omori clearly gave Godzilla that trait in Godzilla vs. Biollante and practically every other character in the movie mentions it. Wataru Mimura borrowed the same concept from Omori when he wrote Godzilla 2000-- which is the crux of the whole film.
@Kyero, oh, laws of physics? You mean those things that they have to make amendments to every 10 years becuase they discover something new that changes what we already know? The 700 ft tall was just something I had heard from multiple sources, not a fact that I believed. I think it would be pretty stupid if he was actually that big.
I don't see what's wrong with that. It brings more fear to the audience.
I voted for both.
My favorite would have to be Godzilla Unleashed for wii. though i was also into save the earth and a gameboy variant. i would also like to see a new game for xbox one and ps4, but i would like for all of the old monsters to return along with a few new ones. something that i would also enjoy would be if the character selection allowed for you to choose one or two redisigned forms of every monster in the selection.
I would have to say that Godzilla unleashed for the wii is my favorite till my wii broke, but i also enjoyed save the earth, and a gameboy varient when i was younger. though i do hope that they make a new game with all of the old monsters as well as a good selection of new ones.
hmmmm, im now 50/50 on it, but well see
and how do you know he has regenration cells in GvsB and not in other films like in showa films
Hmmm interesting. Not in a hurry to go see 300 just for a Godzilla trailer, but nice knowing this info is out there.
dude no needs to say look godzilla has regenation cells in a movie it sounds really stupid
Nope. Godzilla's wounds healed, granted, but it could've also been the water that washed the blood away when he fell into the ocean. Plus no one in that movie mentions Godzilla's regenerative powers. No one in the cast or crew of the film did either. Godzilla's regenerative powers was not an official trait of the character until Godzilla vs. Biollante. It was written in by Kazuki Omori in 1989.
i make another post and tell you guys
JOSH, you must elaborate on this. All I see is something that anyone could have put together for right now. Tell us why this chart is so vital to a trailer release. I can see the 300 thing, okay, but this is from a FACEBOOK page...i typed in that address and the page isn't avaliable.
Tell us more.
um yea in Godzilla vs mechaGodzilla 1974
Looks like we'll be waiting until 300: Rise of an Empire is in theaters if this is to be believed.
thanks man hope people will just shut up
It's on FACEBOOK.
On a GODZILLA 2014 facebook page.
Toho Kingdom is not an official or authoritive source. It's just a fan site. The original movie nor any of the Showa movies do not mention regenerative powers. The creators of the film never bring it up either.
Unless it was said with in the movie or from the creators, the retcon is inconclusive.
oh will thanks for clearing it out thanks Gman
