@ kaijuufin. Butt-hurt fanboy. Lol. I'm not "butt-hurt" over anything. I love the new design, I'm super excited about the movie, and can't wait to get my tickets for a midnight show. I just don't like telling off people who feel differently. others are allowed to be upset, and they should come to a fan site to voice those opinions. And if you don't know this is a fan site, I feel for you. It's been said time and time again, and the fact that legendary/warner bros. are constantly requesting that content be taken down would be your fist clue. The second clue is that this website is not owned by legendary, warner, or Toho.
14 hmm, well just for future reference just because your parents don't let you use curse words don't mean you should come onto a message board and post them. Contrary to the popular middleschool thought process cursing doesn't = cool.
Now onto my main point if you read the news and any threads on here most say whatever their topic is as a rumor or speculation. It's the other sites that that the news out of context and post about it being facts. So if anything is spreading false info it's the sites accusing the forum of that. They misinterpret things and when it doesn't happen or it's slightly different they say, "but they said it was going to happen" without saying that it was said originally to be a rumor or just speculation. No1 on this site just goes around posting info everywhere saying "XXXX will happen because Godzilla-movies.com said it would and this is definite, nonspeculation fact!" If some1 does go find a post that says that and show me.
PETEDJ06 Everybody doesn't know that this is a fan site! I couldn't take your comment seriously. You're a good example of a butthurt fanboy. Be happy that we're even getting a new Godzilla film. This could be the last one EVER!
Godzilla unleashed
welcome to the internet boy...
@LONE
No problem!
I watched a lot of scary movies growing up, but the only one to scar me, and give me nightmares was ET (I still can't watch it). At the same time Jurassic park and predator where two of my favorites. So you can't always predict how kids will react.
LOL. Thank's, I actually laughed out loud at this. This was great. How can someone have the nerve to go onto someone else's fan-site, and complain about it. If you don't like it that much, leave. No one will care.
As for going to E.T.N., no thanks. Can't stand those videos. Calling out B.S. on fans for talking about something they love is silly boarding on sociopathic (not a real word, I know, but i'm going to run with it). If you are too, (I'm sorry if i offend you) dumb to understand that this IS A FAN SITE RUN BY A FAN, than leave. Everyone knows that it is not official news, and everyone knows that you need to take everything with a grain of salt.
DON'T SPECULATE, ONLY TALK ABOUT THE FACTS, DON'T SPEAK YOUR MIND. IF YOU DON'T LIKE SOMETHING TAKE IT ANYWAY!
you cant decide what kids are scared of and what they arent. I know kids who love horror movies but wont watch sesame street because big bird scares them. they had to modify animal crossing because kids were scared of resetti, these are the same kind of kids that arent scared of horror or war games but they are terrified of a talking mole.
Please, tell me-- which toys are 'fake'? I'm curious.
List them off to me.
I can't stop laughing! LOL!
Great video, thanks for posting it Shazo!
Way to go Rob! Sometimes I feel you are the only smart person around here :D
Gdzilla: Let me fire in my lazar!( Uses atomic breath) BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
Every kid is different. Some might be scared and some might love it. It's all preference. I don't have a child, but I'm sure if I did I'd gauge how much he/she wanted to see the movie with other movies they had seen in the past that scared them. If my child really wanted to see it I'd porbably let them. It's only PG-13 and i doubt the main genre it will be under would be horror, so I don't think it would be that bad.
And who are you to tell people this?
It annoys you that people are picky about how a character they have probably grown up watching? Oh well too bad to put it bluntly. This is a forum people are going to say what they think and if you don't like it don't go on those posts. Simple. You have no right to say, "it annoys me so don't do it."
As for the fake toys scripts ect, yes they've all been fake for the mos tpart but it's easy to say that in hindsight. The fact is at the time most of the pics are posted that's not confirmed so all of those are POTENTIAL news. Notice I said potential if there's a chance of something being revealed it should be posted here. Once again who are you to say what can, and cannot be posted, said, or discussed?
I really want to make a post about people who call out other people and tell them what they don't like about what's posted here, however doing so would make me a hypocrite.
...it's a film about a MONSTER. ...PLEASE let it be scary to children. if it's not scary to children it's not going to be something i'll allow to be viewed by my children.
I dunno, I just think parents will have to decide whether they think their kids will be able to handle some of the menacing, scary moments this movie will provide.
It's not necessarily a kids movie, it will definitely be frightening, but that doesn't mean kids shouldn't see it. My parents took me to see Jurassic Park in theaters when I was five or six. I remember being terrified by the velociraptors, but I also remember really liking the movie just because I was a dinosaur buff as a child (still haven't outgrown that).
Kids (like adults) have different preferences and limits in terms of what content sets them on edge or makes them uncomfortable vs what just adds to the adrenaline of the ride. It's definitely a judgement call. All I know is, if I was a young kid again, and saw the trailer for this movie, I'd be almost excited to see then as I am to see it now :-)
Sorry you had to hear that but someone had to speak up eventually.
She doesn't literally mean she can kill Godzilla with her bare hands. The thread is talking about her anger issues and how it makes her feel. Not too sure why you're bringing that up here.
Aint no other sea monster ever defeated Godzilla
*cough cough*, Titanosaurus, Ebirah, Hedorah... kind of? Well he was able to be in the water so I guess.
So yeah Kraken aint gonna do crap to Godzilla, not even tickle Godzilla.
Well ok, the trailer shows and makes me think there will be frightening scenes in the movie, including the Mutos you know, like those other monster movies with 20 or 30 feet monsters that are mostly horror-like movies, which the Mutos might be to the humans.
Then as for Godzilla himself, well, it depends on how they show and go with him.
So as for now, Godzilla might not be scary to children, the children will just be amazed when seeing him, but as for the Mutos they might be frightening.
How bout 2014 cuz the shape of it makes sense and looks reallyyy realistic,
and 2000 cuz obviously, most baddass looking spine evahh
Idk I didnt feel offended at all by your words, but I totally agree with some things you said, I may have like gripes with the design, but im not picky of it, so no i dont complain about it at all really, im just happy for it lol
Well, you're talking about the looks, so here it is:
#1: 2000, scary ass intimidating body
#2: 1954, idk just the way he walks and moves just makes him super scary, and his looks too
#3: GMK, well obviously, hes got those scary possessed looking white eyes, and an evil behavior
And im also gonna predict that 2014 will be amongst the scariest and more evil looking Godzilla because of his design so far ;)
@Madison
I must confess to being very, very confused when I read that originally. Thanks for sorting that out. At the very least we get a chuckle out of it.
Happy you spent so much time thinking on a seperate topic though.

Actually the big change in size was more of a financial reason for Toho, they cut back on the budget in the 90s and made him 100 meters to make the minatures smaller and save money, the fx crew hated it because they couldn't add as much detail to the smaller models and thought they looked faker.
As far as destruction goes it would really depend on personality. By the time the 70s came around and Godzilla was a hero he'd practically walk around a city to avoid accidentally knocking over a building
@ smaug the magnificent, kids go to p-13 movies, too you know, and I know Godzilla will be p-13 because people said it won't be rated r. At my local movie theatre I saw an 8 year old see cloverfield. Which is more violent than Godzilla
Godzilla 54 and GMK
Godzilla would destroy the kraken.
Original 1954 Godzilla IMO
Easy, easy there Smaug...relax. I saw the first original film when I was around 10, it scared me. It was supposed to scare us. However, today I feel that kids (and most people in general) have been de-sensitized to the point that nothing is truly scary anymore. Definitely a different time than this kid growing up in the early 70's, that's for sure.
Ok let me get this strait, this is NOT going to be a kids film, got that? there is not going to be a reaction from kids because no kids will watch it unless their perents a shit at their job. okay?
Didn't read through all 15 pages, but if you type in Akira (for the creator of the original theme) you get DNA CONFIRMED.
it has to be white cuz that will fit perfectly with the new godzilla and will go to his roots.....White :)
That was the best looking heisei tributes i have ever seen!!!! I loved it!! it matched perfectly...the clips, the pacific rim theme jus....wow lol and i love the heisei series ;)
