MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-09-2014 3:16 PMYesterday in San Francisco, Haruo Nakajima was at the Kirk Von Hammett’s Fear Festival. If you don’t know Haruo Nakajima, he was Godzilla in the 1954 film! I was fortunate enough to meet him and get his autograph! It was an absolute honor to be in the presents of the man behind the suit. I even had a chance to talk to him; He didn’t speak much English but he had a woman who translated for him. I asked him his thoughts on the American 1998 film and what he thinks of the new 2014 film. He said Roland Emmerich had a “interesting take on Godzilla” and he also said, “I like the direction of the new Godzilla, I can’t wait to see the new film”. So if the original Godzilla likes the new one, I can’t help but feel the same! Also Bin Furuya was there! He was the original suit actor for Ultra-Man!

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-09-2014 5:44 PMWhy isn't anyone commenting on this? That is AWESOME! I envy you at the moment. I actually wasn't sure if Haruo was still around. Its also cool that he feels the "98" film was its own rendition as opposed to a failed attemped on Godzilla. However, Im am very sure he is much more accepting of the new Godzilla in terms of what it looks like so far.
Besides that, I hope you had a great time at the festival :)
