Either way, lets keep discussion topics and ideas in the forum. Only put news-worthy topics (casting news, production announcements, film essays, etc.) on the front page. Thanks!

So I've been thinking about Godzilla VS Gamera, and how it could go down if it ever happened.
As many of you may know, I am a full supported of Gamers being included the MonsterVerse, as well as a Legendary-produced Godzilla VS Gamera movie. However, I've recently had a thought. Should Gamera get in the MonsterVerse, there's no doubt we would get Godzilla VS Gamera as a follow-up. But the thing is - if Godzilla is to fight Gamera - shouldn't Japan, the birth country of both monsters, do it first?
So now I have a new view - Gamera should still totally be in the MonsterVerse, but hold him off and his battle Godzilla until later. Allow Japan to produce a Gamera reboot, maybe another Godzilla one, and then let them fight in a TOHO-Daiei produced film. Then let us Americans do it later on.
What are my ideas for the movie itself? Well, it depends on whether TOHO would choose to make a new Godzilla or use Shin. If they use Shin, I imagine the movie being a battle of Good VS Evil, with Gamera trying to save humanity from Shin Godzilla's destruction. I could see it ending with Godzilla supposedly going down (as he is the evil one), only for the final scene to reveal that he is still alive, like they did in GMK.
However, if TOHO uses a new Godzilla who is less destructive and dangerous, then I could see it taking a more Batman V Superman type of route, with their fight having no real conclusion because they either team up or are separated before their fight can reach a conclusion.
Whatever, the case is, that's my opinion. Godzilla VS Gamera should be done by the Japanese first if it is done at all, and then Legendary could do their own iteration of it later on if they wish to do so.
