Time travelers from 2204 visit present day Japan with news of a catastrophic future; Godzilla will return and annihilate the country. They plan to wipe Godzilla from history using writer Ken Terasawa's theory of his birth. From there the time travelers go to 1944 and stop a dinosaur's transformation into Godzilla. Although their mission appears to be a success, they secretly leave three bio-engineered creatures to form King Ghidorah in the future. While using King Ghidorah to hold present day Japan for ransom, the time travelers soon realize their plan inadvertently birthed the country's last hope: The King of the Monsters.

MemberBaragonOct-19-2015 1:12 AMThis is one of my top 5 favorite G movies. The unconventional timetraveling plot. Explaining Godzilla's origins. The cast isn't the strongest but overall a great movie that will keep you entertained the whole way through.

DEATH COMES ON GOLDEN WINGS!
ALL HAIL KING GHIDORAH!

MemberBaragonFeb-24-2017 6:38 AMWow I saw I put it in my top 5, and had to look at the date.
Not is my top 5 anymore maybe the lower end of top 10 though for it's crazyness. Still an enjoyable movie

MemberBaragonApr-02-2017 4:59 PMI honestly used to like this movie a lot more, and while it's still an excellent Godzilla movie, I no longer place it in my top 5. Those would be (in no particular order) vs Destoroyah, vs Biollante, GMK: Giant Monsters All Out Attack, 1954, and Destroy All Monsters.
One main reason I don't rank it as high is because of the fact that it heavily takes from the Terminator films, and it just felt meh to me. I also didn't particularly like the new origin for Godzilla or King Ghidorah. The fight scenes felt like the camera work was lacking and too much dust/smoke was used in them, making them seem hazy to me.
Just my personal opinion. Not to bash on anyone's love for it, since it was still very good.
