King Kong's Encounter with Godzilla

I myself am beyond excited at the news of Godzilla and Kong clashing again, and am crushed to know I'll have to hold that excitement in until the movie gets released in 5 years. Oh well, Godzilla 2 and Kong: Skull Island should keep me entertained during the wait :) Anyway, I was just wondering on how Godzilla and Kong will encounter each other. I myself believe that the endings of Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla 2 may foreshadow or hint towards their imminent battle in some way. If Kong is situated on Skull Island then it at-least explains how Godzilla could get there. If he can swim so efficiently and easily than there's no trouble in imagining him swimming to the island. Also, what if Skull Island has some huge source of natural radiation which is the reason Godzilla goes there?
