Early Days of Otaku: Godzilla, Anime & Ultraman w/ August Ragone
SyFy just posted a wonderful audio-cast with tokusatsu historian August Ragone. The man's book, "Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters" is one of the very best and well researched published pieces on Godzilla, Ultraman and tokusatsu overall.
He's also a lot of fun to talk with. I've picked his brain a few times and the amount of mind-boggling nuance he spills about the Godzilla franchise seems endless. Very enjoyable and passionate individual. I highly recommend giving this a listen:
