any thing new on gamera 2015

I'm glad somebody asked. I can't seem to find any info and I'm a big Gamera fan. (Not as big as Godzilla but still)

Right now there's nothing to find. There was supposed to be an announcment of some sort around the time Godzilla '14 came out.

Personally I don't think it's happening. With no news or even rumors, the lack of buzz tells me it's a no go. Very disappointing for me.

I'm not sure how Japanese cinema works in terms of their advertising but the fact there's been no news leaks ect doesn't seem to bode well for the Gamera movie at least not for coming out in 2015.

Maybe after Toho announced they were making a Godzilla film in 2016, they decided to postpone it?

That might make sense. See if the interest has increased since the millenmium series before investing into a movie.

Hm. I doubt Daiei postponed the Gamera plans due to the next Godzilla. Rumblings about the Daiei movie were rumored around May and nothing has been heard since then. Godzilla '16 was announced December of last year.

I think we would have at least heard rumors and leaked info buzzing since May if the next Godzilla truly stopped it. Whatever haulted the project (if there was one) happened months before the Godzilla '16 announcement.

I think if they were going to release a new Gamera movie this year, the company would've started it's promotional campaign by now. I think it's a no-go.

ALEXTHEBURGER - Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate anything of substance concerning the supposed Gamera film that was due to be released in the near future. This is certainly displeasing; I very much wanted to see a new film! However, we should all keep our chins up; you never know what might be in the works as we speak! :)

^SOMETHING REAL, you are exactly right. Besides, it's Gamera's 50th aniverary this year. I'm sure they'll do something.
