Godzilla: The Monster War- Chapter 18

     Godzilla stares at the Hybrid for a moment before it telepathically throws a large crystal at Godzilla’s chest. The Hybrid throws a few smaller ones, causing Godzilla to fall to the ground. The Hybrid approaches Godzilla to finish him off, yet a new feeling enters the King of the Monsters…

     Rage. All Godzilla can feel is pure rage, hatred and anger. Hatred against the Xilliens, the Hybrid, his clone, King Ghidorah, all of this army of monsters has caused all of Godzilla’s allies’ deaths. The King of the Monsters growls as the Hybrid approaches him. As the monster prepares a blast of its Atomic Breath and Gravity Beams, Godzilla fires a long blast at the beast’s abdomen. The Hybrid roars in pain and surprise, and Godzilla gets up. He lets out an Earth-shaking roar and charges the abomination.

     Godzilla begins mercilessly slashing the Hybrid’s neck and chest before biting the right neck. The head tries to fight back, but Godzilla counters by grabbing it with his hands. Soon, he pulls off the neck, and growls in victory. He feels sharp pains in his chest, and looks down. He sees his chest covered in slashes and cuts. Blood rains onto the ground, and the King of the Monsters roars in excruciating pain. The Hybrid seemingly smiles and watches Godzilla in pain, but this proves to be a fatal mistake.

     As the Hybrid watches his adversary fight the pain, Godzilla suddenly fires a blast of his Atomic Breath at the creature’s left shoulder crystal. It explodes, and the Hybrid roars in surprise. Godzilla charges the creature and punches a hole into the right crystal. He grabs out a chunk of the inside and slams it into the hole in the Hybrid’s chest. The shards cut into the chest, and the Hybrid winces in pain. Godzilla fires a short blast of his Atomic Breath inside the crystal’s hole, causing it to implode. Godzilla grabs a small, sharp shard and slams it into the Hybrid’s right eye. The creature roars in pain before telepathically lifting Godzilla off of the ground.

     The Hybrid fires his Atomic Breath at Godzilla’s abdomen before telepathically lifting a few smaller crystals out of the ground and throwing them at Godzilla. The King of the Monsters winces in pain, and prepares his next attack. He fires a long, powerful blast of his Atomic Breath at the Hybrid’s telepathic horn, taking away the monster’s telepathic abilities and freeing any extra monsters. The Hybrid roars in surprise and anger as Godzilla falls to the ground.

     While the Hybrid is momentarily distracted, Godzilla sees a very long, sharp crystal. He uses the last bit of his strength to lift it off the ground and charge the Hybrid. Just as the monster realizes what’s happening, Godzilla shoves the crystal through the Hybrid’s chest. The crystal punctures the heart, and pure energy begins to emit from the large hole in its chest. Soon, blood and more light begin to drain out of the Hybrid’s mouth and any wounds. Godzilla happily watches the Hybrid’s death before he collapses to the ground. He finally succumbs to exhaustion and his multiple wounds inflicted during the battle. Godzilla, King of the Monsters, is dead.
