It's Happening! A Battle Of The Ages Is Coming!

The teaser trailer seemed to favor Gamera, we'll see how it turns out! I'm curious if they'll take the dramatic size difference into consideration.

It does to seem to favor Gamera.  I wouldn't trust Death Battle with this at all.  I do like Death Battle, but some of the victories are really questionable.  I believe that they will ignore things like Godzilla surviving a Black Hole and the Absolute Zero Cannon at point blank range and live.  Since the Oxygen Destroyer and a meltdown at 1,200 degrees Celsius from absorbing too much radiation are the only true means to kill Godzilla, Death Battle is sure come up with some silly excuss to have Gamera's Mana Blast win the battle.  Death Battle really needs to do a better job when it comes to reseaching the characters they are portarying.  Be smart and wait for Toho to do a real Godzilla Vs. Gamera moive.

I'd rather wait to have a decent battle than a half-a$$ed one.  Will I still watch it?  Yes I will, but I'd rather have one that is good to decent by Toho than by people who don't have a clue half the time.

I don't think the trailer was favoring gamera. I just think they were showing him off because not a lot of people know him

@SAPPHIREOVERLORD If you just wait for Toho to make a real Godzilla vs. Gamera movie, you'll probably be waiting forever. Let's face it, this Death Battle may be the only GvsG fight we'll ever get that isn't a crappy animation or a bunch of spliced together stock footage buried somewhere on Youtube, and given how awesome Death Battles usually are, I doubt it will disappoint.

Besides, you act as though this will be worse than a real GvsG movie because ScrewAttack might make Gamera win; but in reality, if such a movie were to be made, Gamera would almost certainly win, because, like in KKvsG, Godzilla would be the bad guy, while his much less powerful opponent would be the good guy. The best we could ever hope for would be a draw. At least in Death Battle, Godzilla stands a very good chance of winning, as for all the times they have gone against logic and had the underdog win (Starscream vs. Rainbow Dash, Zelda vs. Peach), they have just as often had the more powerful and popular character win (Superman vs. Goku, Fox vs. Bucky). This is basically the same situation as S-man vs. Goku: a mind-numbingly popular and powerful character against a comparitively obscure and weak character (who happens to make a nice underdog). I'd say the odds are just about even here, no pun intended.

THEGMAN123 - I absolutley adore Gamera; he's been one of my favorite monster heroes since I was a little girl. :) That being said, Godzilla should thrash that little space turtle with little to no difficulty. Anything that goes up against Godzilla is in for a sound pummeling and painful demise. Even if his adversary manages to inflict lethal harm upon him, Godzilla takes it down with him - he wins regardless if the victory costs his life! :)

If anyof you think that an American studio is going to invest $200 million on a giant turtle, you're crazy.

I did say I was going to watch it, and I know that there will be some great scences in the battle.  Lets just say that I feel uneasy with letting Death Battle handling this fight.  As I said before, they are not all that good on getting their facts right sometimes or they use a weaker version of a character.  Example, Samus Vs. Boba Fett.  They used a weaker Samus (Non-Prime Trilogy, they used Metroid and Super Metroid) and Samus still won.  Of course, I was rooting for Samus anyway.  No competion there.  Now Mario Vs. Sonic and Luigi Vs. Tails was accurate.  Both Sonic's and Tails's speeds won their battles.  Are Mario and Luigi fast?  Yes they are, but they can't compare to Sonic or Tails.  Now will Godzilla trash Gamera?  No question about it.  Will Gamera put up a decent fight?  No doubt.  Should I still feel uneasy.  Well yes, shouldn't we all?  Yes we will get entertiament out of it, but won't it still feel lacking in some sense?  I think a true Godzilla Vs. Gamera moive will be made sometime after the new Gamera moive comes out.  (Hopefully)  I really see Godzilla and Gamera as uneasy allies.  Maybe Death Battle might zing us a new one like they did in Dr. Eggman Vs. Dr. Wily, where Metal Sonic won instead. (Though techincally it's Eggman's robot.)  Maybe we will get a third monster that Godzilla and Gamera have to team up agienst.  It could happen.
