MemberMothra LarvaeApr-30-2014 6:21 AM*Spoilers for those who havent seen WonderCon* Am I the only one who thinks one of the two MUTO's hasn't been advertised yet? I think we've only seen the winged Muto (who is the smaller MUTO and also the male, HOKMUTO).
I think the female (8-legged) has not even been displayed to us as of yet.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
The only shots I can think that could have possibly been the feMUTO would be that Vegas strip shot in the backround and the shot in the Asia trailer where the Casino roof is torn up.
The feMUTO would come from the Nevada desert whereas Godzilla and the HOKMUTO would obviously come from across the Pacific as they meet in Hawaii to fight. They all then converge in San Fransisco.
But besides those two shots in Vegas, I don't think we've been advertised G's true adversary- and I don't think we will at all. Because the HOKMUTO is terrifying in itself. It will draw people to go see the film (as if G already didn't). For people who haven't followed the movie as much as we have, they don't know there's supposedly two monsters fighting G. Hell, we are still unsure! The MUTO could totally undergoe a metamorphosis and there would only be one MUTO. So when this huge feMUTO is revealed in the film, it will be FLIPPIN awesome.
Again, I could totally be off, But I don't think we've seen the feMUTO at all just yet.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-30-2014 6:31 AMYes, they're keeping the 8 legged one very quiet.
There's only the two shots you mentioned and also the aerial shot one on the MUTO 2 display screen, but you've probably seen that one.
The latest trailer confirmed that the cocoon site is built on the remains of the Janjira power plant. I was expecting that to be some kind of metamorphosis but it must be when it originally hatches?

they have only shown the winged one!
I also thought, that the 8-legged will approach the airport, but since I#ve seen the wondercon footage I got the impression of being wrong...
I am very excited how the 8-legged will be shown an act, while we have not seen him/her at any point in the trailers

MemberBaragonApr-30-2014 7:32 AMI've been saying for a while we wouldnt get a good shot of the main foe till the movie came out. Granted I was slightly wrong as early on many of us, or I at least, thought the flying muto would be the bigger, more powerful enemy, while it appears at least from the few shots we've seen it is the smaller of the two.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-30-2014 10:53 AMThe Hokmuto is the larger Muto, since it's size nearly rivals Godzilla's. The Muto destroying the airport is the FeMuto.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-30-2014 11:22 AMKeep in mind that the picture shown by Grand Destroyer above might be just the perspective of the Muto flying over Godzilla, thus appearing larger. This play would not be overruled in NFL football...not enough clear evidence lol. However, that statement about something being 400x more exciting during the HALO jump always made me think that maybe hundreds of the smaller Mutos come out of the ground (sink hole?) to join the fight with winged Muto in SF. That probably why there are so many flames seen below during the jump as Godzilla is using atomic breath to wipe out the little bastids....
