MemberTitanosaurusMar-13-2014 10:10 AMAs most of you are aware by now, the name of Godzilla's new adversary has been anounced. They call it Hokmuto (has a nice ring to, doesn't it). In early reports of the creatures, they seemed to be white colored, but with new images of the toy, the Hokmutos are black and red. So what color are they? Is the white color a sign of immaturity and teh Hokmuto get darker as they get older? Is it based on gender? Are the males of the species a different color to attrach a mate, which is a common thing among birds. Or are there a white, drone and worker class of Hokmuto and the black and red Hokmuto's are of a warrior class? I don't know, we'll find out when the movie premires. What are your thoughts?

MemberTitanosaurusMar-13-2014 11:21 AMLopsquid, I never said this was Alien. The Hokmuto look very insect like. Perhaps they live in a hive system. We don't know yet.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-13-2014 11:34 AMI like your theory, it is natural based and asks some good question. But...Hokmuto? Is it confirmed now? If so...
That would mean the leaked script is confirmed, as that was what it was called in that script. Huh. Actually, alot of the stuff in the trailer (The bomb) and the stuff with the kid also was in the script.
Or is the script already also confirmed, and i missed it?

MemberBaragonMar-13-2014 11:34 AMOf coure, we DON'T know if they are NOT aliens either. We really don't know anything about the Muto's at all. They have been described as ancient enemies of Godzilla, but it also seems mankind is playing a part in their creation and/or resurection. Anything specific is all speculation at this point. But I like these ideas!

I like to base my opinons in a scientific maner. if you listen to the people in the movies, they do explain some things about some creatures/Mecha-units in a scientificly. Also, go to the home page of this site, the first article under the news should have the name of the mutos.

AdminGodzillaMar-13-2014 12:44 PMWhere did Hokmuto come from? I've never seen that until I clicked on this thread.

It came from one of the witness's accounts that saw the clips. I think that guy didn't know what he was talking about, but I could be wrong. :/

AdminGodzillaMar-13-2014 12:56 PMSo it isn't really confirmed then? Fair enough. I'm going to take this with a grain of salt.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-13-2014 2:50 PMit came from the leaked script. the male is named Hokmuto because of where it was discovered (Hokkaido), and the female is dubbed Femuto.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-17-2014 11:54 AMI like the name, but question its authenticity. The same reports that use that name also call Ken Watenabe's character Honda even though his character has long been officially confirmed as Serizawa.
