so i was looking back at the brazillian poster, and then at trailer screenshots and the toys and i notices some slight diffierences.

1. the neck in the traler apears to be notably thiker and differently positioned than the poster

2.the gills/scales that look like gills are not as prominent in the trailer and are seen farther down and more forward on the toys.

3. the connection between the head and neck appears different, in the trailer and on the toys

4. the neck in the trailer looks a bit more heavily armored but that might just be me.

5. coloration, this could also just be me, but the bluish color doesnt seem notacable in the trailer, and all officialy released  posters make him look brownish, of course the toys have a bit of the blusish colloration so this confuses me

6. the brazillian poster seem to match up much better with the recent leaked images of godzilla promo art/ concept art. i say this becasue of details such as the neck thinkness and snout length. i also say this because if i am remembering correctly, wasn't the brazillian poster supposed to promotional

king of the monsters

The Brazilian poster was for a liscencing exposition to showcase early designs of Godzilla to encourage other comanies to create merchandise for the film.

It was never relevant to the final design of Godzilla, contrary to popular opinion.

(Though I do think they should have stuck with that design because it's far superior to the one in the trailer in my opinion. The more upright posture and thinner neck are much more like classic Godzilla to me, though I can live with the design they've chosen.)

To me, it seems as though the design in the brazilian poster is a really stylized version of what will probably end up in the final film.
