MemberMothra LarvaeJanuary 26, 2014I had this idea about putting up a video on YouTube describing and explaining the Powers and abilities of Godzilla (Gigantis Gojirasaurus),also to talk more in-depth but I've decided to start here instead (this may be my second post of this since the first didn't show up when I made it).
Godzilla's Diet: What does he eat, how often, an why?
We all know Godzilla feeds on nuclear energy, but that alone can't be all that he consumes in order to keep up his body's metabolism. I theorize that Godzilla also consumes large marine creature such as sperm whale, giant squid, and other marine kaiju. The purpose for his eating would have to be so that the biological components of his body are maintained, such as his Regenerator G1 (Regen.G1) cell since it would require some kind of protein to be maintained. Godzilla wouldn't, however, have to consume other creature very often since he mostly sleeps (when his isn't destroying cities or fighting monsters). He could also have a similar metabolism to modern crocodilians, who can go over 2 months without food after their last meal, and his sleeping habit can serve as a means to conserve more energy. Considering that Godzilla uses his nuclear energy to keep his body in motion, and saves his energy from eating for his Regen.G1 cells and his sleeping patterns, I theorize that Godzilla can go at least a decade without having to eat.
Godzilla's Hide: How does it work, what is it made of, and how tough is it?
Godzilla's hide is considered a nearly impenetrable defensive apparatus for the kaiju. It serves as his primary means of defense against all attacks and is known to be immune to all know conventional weapons and resistant to most nonconventional weapons. The most similar example of such a resistant hide is seen in elephants, as it takes a special type of gun and ammunition to penetrate it. Godzilla's hide seems to be different in certain aspects. 1) His hide doesn't seem to be extremely thick but instead sturdier. Godzilla's muscular and bone structure may also support the hide as it protects them, since Godzilla doesn't seem to sustain bone injury or internal muscle damage from the pressure released from bomb and missile attacks. His hide seems to have been developed through millions of years of adaptation, which could explain how Godzilla survived battleship artillery fire when he was still a dinosaur, and radiation from the nuclear bomb testing mutated it to become tougher.
Godzilla's Regen.G1 Cells: How does it work, and its function?
Godzilla's Regen.G1 cells act as a secondary defensive measure for his body in case anything gets through his hide. His G1 cells are capable of repairing and healing any injury or disease that afflicts him. I theorize that his G1 cells make him immune to every natural disease or illness and highly resistant to man-made diseases. This is shown when the ANEB virus was introduced to Godzilla bloodstream. Though the virus downed the Kaiju when his temperature got too high, the virus never affected Godzilla after the events of Godzilla vs. Biollante nor was the use of ANEB attempted again, which indicates that Godzilla's G1 cells removed the virus and built an immunity to it. His Regen.G1 cells seem to function like stem cells only faster and more advance. Such an healing factor is seen in some lizards species who can regrow entire limbs. Godzilla's Regen.G1 cells , however, seem to be capable of restoring his whole body so long as a single organ survives. This is shown and implied during the GMK events as Godzilla's heart, which was the only surviving organ from his bodies destruction continues to beat, implying that his body would eventually regrow back. These cells also seem to give him the ability to survive in extremely hostile environments and conditions, such as being frozen or exposed to carious chemicals and toxins.
Well that’s all for this discussion but there will be more coming soon. Tell me what you guys think and do feel free to comment!!!!!
