Godzilla's Spines: Atomic Breath

I only just realized this just now while watching the scene on youtube but nobody else brought it up.  Apparently in the movie only Godzilla's center spine lights up when he's charging his breath attack, as opposed to in the other incarnations where all of his spines light up! You can see if you look carefully at the image below

I just though this was an interesting detail.  What do you guy's think?  Do you prefer the spines all lighting up or are you content with this.  I don't mind either way! XD
