On November 30th, a projection event by Tokyo Night & Light will screen seven different iterations of Godzilla on Tokyo Metropolitan Building No. 1 in Shinjuku. The footage, directed by Kazuhiro Nakagawa, includes both suitmation and CGI. The Godzillas that will be seen in action include iterations from the original 1954 film, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995), Godzilla against MechaGodzilla (2003), Godzilla: Final Wars (2004), Shin Godzilla (2016), Godzilla Minus One (2023) and Chibi Godzilla.
Kazuhiro Nakagawa directed the prior Godzilla Festival shorts: Godzilla vs. Hedorah, Fest Godzilla 3: Gigan Attacks, Fest Godzilla 4: Operation Jet Jaguar and the upcoming Fest Godzilla 5: All Monsters Showdown. He was an assistant director on the Attack on Titan live action films, Shin Godzilla and Shin Ultraman. Additionally, he directed shorts for Godzilla theme park attractions including, Godzilla vs. Evangelion: The Real 4-D and the zip line attraction, Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji. He's also directed two episodes of Ultraman Z during the pandemic.
