Toho have made some major announcements regarding the future of its Godzilla franchise and its commitment to overseas markets! The Japanese studio plans to invest heavily over the next 3 years into Godzilla and other anime projects a new report from Bloomberg USA has revealed. In addition to the upcoming Godzilla Minus One sequel (once again being directed by Takashi Yamazaki), the studio is also going to bring in new Godzilla console games, merchandise, amusement attractions and more! Bloomberg reports Toho is investing a whopping ¥120 Billion ($860 Million) into expanding its film and anime projects. The studio is allocating ¥15 Billion (roughly $105 million) into Godzilla alone! Read on for a break down of what we can expect from Toho over the next 3 years.
New Godzilla Movies & Games

- New Godzilla movies - Godzilla Minus One sequel is already in development with Takashi Yamazaki at the helm. The next film will be a direct sequel to Minus One and will feature additional Monsters! Additional Godzilla films may also be on the horizon, too!
- New Godzilla console games - Unlike the mobile games we've seen created for Godzilla recently, Toho are invested in bringing Godzilla back to consoles. This initiative and investment is relating specifically to console based games - any new mobile projects are separate.
- New Godzilla amusement attractions - Toho plans to expand on its amusement park impact with the King of Monsters by building new rides and attractions! Specifics remain unknown at this time.
- New Godzilla merchandise - Expect an influx of new Godzilla toys, apparel, collectibles and more.

Toho-One
Not only are Toho looking to build its Godzilla brand, but by 2026 Toho are also planning to launch a new membership service - called Toho-One! This all-in-one application will act as a hub for all things Toho - from movies, to streaming shows, to apparently even playing games. Cost for the service and scope of what it will offer remains unknown, however.
