The Official Japanese Godzilla Twitter announced the Toho Kaiju Collection, a series of 1/700 scale figures of Godzilla series monsters. The figure line, by DeAgostini, is at a unified scale based on the official heights of kaiju throughout the various series.
Rarely have fans seen the actual scale between monsters as officially listed. Although the heights of monsters seem unlikely on-screen, this line of figures features the size comparison accurately. (Hence the severe difference between Gigan, who is officially 65 meters, and Showa King Ghidorah, who is 100 meters.) It also exemplifies the size difference between eras in the series as seen by 2004 Rodan's towering figure over many others. Take a look:
"Monsters created by Toho throughout the Showa and Heisei eras fascinate people," the official DeAgostini site reads. "The biweekly 'Toho Kaiju Collection' is a collection of monsters on a 1/700 unified scale. It is a figure series with a concept that has never existed before. The series is scheduled for all 100 issues."
Released bi-weekly, the figures will begin shipping August 12th, 2023. Larger figures, such as 2004's Rodan or Shin Godzilla, will be shipped as separate pieces to be snapped together. The first eight figures include Godzilla (1984), MechaGodzilla (1974), King Ghidorah (1964), Gigan (1972), Godzilla (2016), Rodan (2004) and Mothra Larva (1961). These first seven figures will encompass the dates through November, 21st 2023.
Future figures include, Mothra (1992), Anguirus (2004), Biollante [plant form] (1989), Kaiser Ghidorah (2004), Gorosaurus, Gabara (1969), Megalon (1973), King Caesar (1974), Mecha King Ghidorah (1991), Battra (1992), Super Mechagodzilla (1993), Destoroyah (1995), Manda and Godzilla [2nd form] (2016).
You can order the upcoming lineup from the Official Website. The first figure, Godzilla (1984) releases August 12th, 2023.
