Shimo is a relative to the Godzilla Titan species and is rumored to be controlled by Skar King, acting as another foe Godzilla and Kong need to team up to fight.
We theorize Skar King and Shimo represent a more primitive / older incarnation of each respective Kong and Godzilla species - once the apex Titans of a previous Titan Empire.
