Toho have opened a brand new Godzilla Store in Malaysia and local fans have spotted something interesting – a brand new Godzilla design never before seen! In all of Gojira's 72-year career, the following design has not once been used in a film, game, or any form of promotion or marketing. The photo looks to be that of a Godzilla suit, but many are wondering – from what?
Is this a brand new Godzilla? Is this the look of Godzilla in the upcoming Minus Zero movie? Or, is it an unused suit from decades past that Toho have unearthed from their archives?
UPDATE: Our friends at Kaiju United, among other readers claim this is in fact the Southeast Asian Gojira design from the promotional video last year. While it’s difficult to compare given the limited look at the billboard (below), it would make sense. Either way, the image on display at the Malaysian Godzilla Store remains a brand new look at this version of Godzilla, however. Check it out:
