It appears Kong's appearance will be given an upgrade for his clash with Godzilla next year! A new press release has been sent out to investors recently and with it a new promotional image for Godzilla vs. Kong. Along with the following write-up, we can see Kong now sports a big beard - fitting since he has ages quite a bit and grown to match the stature of his reptilian rival. Not only that, the press release also reveals that the Monsterverse collectively has generated $1.4 Billion in revenue and that Warner Brothers and Legendary both consider King of the Monsters a success. Check it out:
Following the success of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), comes Godzilla vs. Kong, the next chapter in the cinematic Monsterverse.
The epic action adventure will pit two of the greatest icons in motion picture history against one another – the fearsome Godzilla and the mighty Kong – in a throw-down of epic proportions.
Legendary's MonsterVerse franchise has generated over $1.4 billion in gross box office and continues to appeal to wide audiences including core fans, families, kids, young adults, and collectors.
Thanks to Gormaru Island for the spot!
