Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has officially claimed second place for highest grossing film of the Monsterverse franchise! Earning an impressive $547 Million at the global box office so far, the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel has taken the place of Gareth Edwards' Godzilla (2014)!
The film has performed very well at the box office considering it cost the least to make of all the Monsterverse movies. Not only has GxK taken Godzilla 2014's spot for overall box office take, but it also saw greater preview night numbers when it debuted in theaters a month ago!
