Godzilla Minus One is well on its way to beat Shin-Godzilla at the global box office and to be crowned the highest grossing Japanese Godzilla film of all time! Shin-Gojira which debuted back in 2016 amassed roughly $82 million at the worldwide box office and as of this week, Godzilla Minus One has already surpassed $78 million with more territories having been added to the film's theatrical run! While other countries have only just started screening Minus One, the United States still have 2 more weeks left to add to the film's global box office take!

Even on its 9th weekend screening in Japan, Godzilla Minus One actually jumped back up to 6th place at the domestic office! Not only that, as our own GMan points out, Minus One is now the 7th highest-grossing 2023 film, the 5th highest-grossing domestic 2023 film for Japan and the 2nd highest grossing kaiju film since 2013!

Godzilla Minus One is still drawing audiences in, see it while you can if you haven't already!
