Will Godzilla and Kong fight in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2? It's possible. Newly discovered early concept artwork by Daniel Demmler for the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters series depicted a battle between Godzilla and Kong – a battle which did not occur in Season 1. This begs the question, is a fight between these two alpha Titans part of the Monarch series storyline?

The Monsterverse Timeline
Given Legacy of Monsters introduced Kong at the end of Season 1, and its been reported Kong will feature more heavily throughout Season 2, it's very likely the two will come head-to-head... however, this would mean Godzilla and Kong's battle in Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) was not their first encounter. A clashing in LoM Season 2 would mean by the time Godzilla vs. Kong took place, a much younger Kong had already faced Godzilla and obviously lost. This would also mean Monarch were responsible for relocating Kong back to Skull Island before he was brought back to try and defeat Godzilla a second time, many years later.

Of course, this clashing could very well be a scrapped concept and may never be a part of the show at all. It could also be an idea the show's creators are saving for Season 3, much like how films independently set up between 3 entires for their cinematic battle back in 2021. All we do know for sure is concept artists were hired to map out and sketch a battle between Godzilla and Kong for the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters TV series.
