Finally – it's been confirmed. SpaceGodzilla has officially been licensed to Legendary for use in the Monsterverse and will appear as the main villain in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova! Discovered on a filing report on the Writer's Guild of America's official website, under the working title Zeus (which is the secret name for Supernova), it reads that both Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla have been licensed from Toho:


Based on the characters "Godzilla" and "Space Godzilla" owned and created by ToHo Co., LTD.
The filing is current as of 11/12/2025 and also references Dave Callaham as the screenwriter, who is indeed the screenwriter for Supernova.
This is extremely exciting news, although we've had our suspensions for some time now. It's great to see more concrete evidence of it coming to fruition. SpaceGodzilla will be joining the Monsterverse next year! Let us know if you're excited in the comments!
