Dr. Graham played off of Dr. Serizawa pretty well, in my opinion. They came off as a team, colleagues. Sally Hawkins' exposition regarding Monarch during the meeting with Lt. Brody was crucial to the whole backstory of Godzilla. She was convincing as someone who, on behalf of a top secret organization, needed the help of someone who normally wouldn't be privy to the information being discussed.

Versatility: Zilla Jr. easily learns and adapts to the environment. HB Godzilla has to be told by Godzooky if he has to change his "battle strategy".

Epicness: Zilla Jr. has had pretty epic entrances like the time Nick was in the Congo looking for the giant bat and Jr came from the side and jumped clear over the river, taking the bat with him. Also the background music was pretty cool too. HB Godzilla has also had epic entrances when he comes out of nowhere from the sea and roars his head off. In fighting they both will do ok, but because of Jr's better animation, it's hard to say.

Design: Zilla Jr. definitely takes the cake here for better design, since the series is more recent and has better animation, while HB seems kind of plain and just green. Not to mention that he only has 1 row of spines down his back.

Better Crew: H.E.A.T., definitely. H.E.A.T. has weapons that were MADE to take out giant monsters while Calico has a little button that calls godzilla.

Who Wins?: Jr wins. H.E.A.T. can go in and take out Calico and then help Jr in the fight against HB. Definite speed advantage for Jr and around the same armor, so no doubt Jr wins.

^No word on Hawkins so far, but... Why do we really need her? I mean, what is it she really did in the first movie?

IT also looks like Ken Watanabe will be returning, God willing. We wish him the best and perfect health. His Dr. Serizawa connected the story to Japan and the Bomb, giving Godzilla an enhanced authenticity. The scene with the watch and Admiral Stenz was chilling.

But, what about Sally Hawkins (Dr. Graham)?

Yep, me too. This cast is really good, so far. I hope the writing gives us a riveting story and an interesting and meaningful narrative. Somehow, Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters does't seem that far away anymore. Can't explain it. Looking forward to more news.

Something Real - Hello to you! You know what, whether I'm right or wrong, it looks like a load of fun. We've seen more of Kong and him fighting in these clips than we did of G in that whole movie! I'm going solo for the Thursday early show, then over the weekend with the family.

I am very exited for this movie.

Loving what I'm seeing so far. In a nutshell, the trailers are showing what the movie will be; a fun, monster romp with some humor that doesn't take itself too seriously. I think the humor will pop up here and there to break the tension of all the craziness going on around our intrepid heroes. For any of you JP fans out there (I know there's a few), that movie had it's fair share of humor as well, but it was scary as hell, and more than a few characters bought it.

Loving the cast so far. Hopefully they have a good story, engaging characters and some kick-ass monster action.

This is my favorite trailer. I can't wait for the movie! It's been so long since Kong fought another actual monster. I think the last time was Mecha-Kong in King Kong Escapes. It's about time Kong fought another monster and I know it will be awesome!

@Something Real. I feel the same, just seems odd when compared to Godzilla which had a very serious and realistic tone. We have seen very little of the comedy though so im staying optimistic.

This was actually a very compelling glimpse! I am still uncertain of the "comedic" elements that have been added; they are a bit out of place, in my opinion. However, the film's overall tone seems quite fun! :)

Onto the topic, maybe it's because what replaced it ended up being my favorite Godzilla movie, but I'm not really into this idea. The Godzilla vs Godzilla idea was cool when I was a kid, but as I've gotten older the idea doesn't sit as well with me. IDK maybe the movie would have been great, but conceptwise I'm on the fence about it.

I can't really decide if I would have actually liked it.  It's a novel and interesting concept though.  But I do know that I didn't like what we got instead.

Getting pretty sick of these "teaser images" though. Not one has even depicted signs of Godzilla. No footprint, no silhouettes, nothing but trees and space-crafts. Only evidence that shows Godzilla is going to exist is the title... I WANT MORE THAN A NAME DAMNIT!!! Gimme the head, the tail, the arm, the leg, or the whole damn thing. Anything will do as long it shows that he will exist in the movie. Trees and Space-Craft doesn't tell me anything other than SPACE and TREES!!!

It does look like the Super X.

So Godzilla, mankind and an alien race. Interesting. Maybe these aliens will be similar to classic alien enemies such as the Xiliens or the Nebulans? And I'm liking the new vehicle. Maybe it will be similar to the Super X? It definitely looks like an upgraded version.
