I was hoping it would be at Comic-Con.
God I hope we get a trailer. I don't expect much to be revealed, but I just want to see some footage.
Did Micheal Dougherty just confirm a trailer for Godzilla 2 at comic con?

I am more than 100% sure that we will get one of those concepts. Mothra is their 2nd most popular character (Godzilla being #1 of course) and if they don’t give her a new movie in this universe, they must be crazy. Mothra could probably carry a trilogy of movies in this Universe if they really wanted too.
She is a child actress known from ”stranger things” how will be playing the daughter of the Graham family in Godzilla 2.
Sounds awesome. Can't wait to see what they make.
Wait. Who is Millie Bobby Brown? I'm kinda lost on this.
Can we have a movie about Mothra, Battra, and that advanced civilization idea that they had in the Godzilla Heisei era be explored further? Or that idea of a Gigan vs Mothra vs Battra film? Or a remake of the Rebirth of Mothra trilogy that can later connect to the Godzilla Cinematic Universe (You know, for the return of Mothra Leo, DesGhidorah, and the inclusion of King Ghidorah?)? Those would be awesome. That, and maybe a solo Anguirus film.
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Dogora. That would be a nice inclusion as well. Imagine how he would look like with modern effect. They can do some very creative and eye-catching ideas with that design.
Maybe an idea for making a Ghidorah movie less boring is by bringing the entire Ghidorah family along for the ride. I am talking about King Ghidorah, desghidorah, Keizer Ghidorah, grand king Ghidorah, etc.
Varan is a must!
Rodan needs another one as well
i would love to see king Ghidorah in a solo-ish movie. But I fear it might get boring by himself
I just know mothra will get one
Need to see a Dogora reboot!
She is said to be connected with Mothra somehow, but as of right now we don’t know that much.
At the moment, all I want is a new Varan movie.
Interesting chooses. Jet Jaguar would be perfect for this series to bring back. Battra I imagine more as a villain in a Mothra movie, but I can see it happening.
Mothra, Anguirus, Rodan, King Ghidorah, King Caesar, Jet Jaguar, Battra, and Biollante.
Before I go, I wanted to let you guys know what monsters I think should get their own movie and some explanation to why.
- Gigan
a while back, Glitchgaming9578 made a topic about his take on a Gigan solo movie and I quite like the idea (link to Gigan solo movie idea forum). though his version took place in the monsterverse, I think there is still a lot of possibilities with this idea (especially if it is an origin movie).
- King Caesar
I made an entire topic on how a King Caesar movie could be like in my "how to include into the monsterverse" series (link to King Caesar forum), but for the people who don't want the read the whole thing. this could be an origin movie for him and which could include some Japanese history. just an awesome image in my opinion.
- Varan
if there is one monster that gets undeservedly no attention from their maker, it would be Varan. even though the idea of Varan is very simple, it is still very unique and interesting. his original movie should totally get a reboot of some kind and give this monster the attention he deserves.
- The Gargantuas
the original movie is loved by many people and yet we haven't seen them since. there are some interesting directions to go with a remake of the original movie and to see the 2 Gargantuas team up/fight Godzilla.
- King Ghidorah
just imagine how awesome this could be. this could basically be Gojira 1954 in space and with King Ghidorah in the place of Godzilla. this is if they go with the alien Ghidorah, which is something I would love to see return.
New chapter. Lots of new monsters.
Maybe it was the mother of that kid (presumably Akio) that the main character in Godzilla 2014 (Ford Brody) saved in Hawaii (the scene right before the first full appearance of the Godzilla design).
Ok, but still. You know?
Ummmmmmm who did she play again cuz I don’t remember her at all nor do I remember anyone named akio
Liked the latest chapter. I really liked the fight between Godzilla and Mecha-Godzilla.
New chapter. Godzilla fights Mechagodzilla.
Looks like it's a bootleg of the Kaiyodo, garage kit, 1964 Godzilla. According to Clubtokyo the "Toho-Toho Eiga" and "Toho Eiga" were the bootlegs' stamp.
I thought it was an American X-Plus release of one of the 1964 figures too, but no--It's not adding up. I'm asking around myself.
I wanna say that's an X-Plus figure, but I'm not sure. Forgive me, if I'm wrong.
^That could have always have been a lie to hide the team up to avoid spoilers. Besides these are just predictions. There are no guarantees here.
But didn't they say that there might be no team-ups in KOTM?
Is anybody going to help him? Please.
Hope it works out.
Seeing as those are the next toho movies, you could take it in that way. This series wouldn't specifically aim at that though. It's more about what interesting ideas you can do with the monsters that haven't been done before. An example of this is how Hedorah was a bioweapon in the current anime universe, which was a very interesting direction to go with Hedorah.
But don’t get your hopes up, because I am probably going to do some other things instead. This is just something I might do in the future. Right now my next project is going to be a concept for a new Godzilla game and how I would (realistically) make a good kaiju game.
@KaijuWorld Do you mean like a series on how some of the monsters can fit into Toho's new GCU (Godzilla Cinematic Universe)?
I just want something about GKOTM in SDCC. It can be anything.
I'm predicting that the monster action will be greatly improved and the human plot more well structured if still not the greatest.
I also predict that fans will lose their goddamn minds during the possible end-credits scene because it'll set up Kong's battle with Godzilla. Or maybe that's just me, since I was LITERALLY fanboying all over the place in the theatre when I saw the post-credits scene in Kong: Skull Island :P
^Agreed with both of you. With the exception of the Millennium series King Ghidorah (mostly due to the role reversal between him and Godzilla), Ghidorah has always been about 50 meters bigger than Godzilla. That makes him larger but not so big that Godzilla can't win. We won't see a King Ghidorah THAT big until the 3rd anime movie and even then it probably won't be that much bigger than Godzilla Earth.
^
He's probably going to be around 158 meters tall or at least slightly above.
^It'd be about 182-213 meters. King Ghidorah has normally been 50 meters tall than Godzilla in the Showa and Heisei series. I'd say, conservatively, he'll be more than 150 meters tall.
Then again, I don't have much hope for this King Ghidorah incarnation.
600/700ft? Ok, that's way too big.
