King Ghidorah is going to be HUGE! I’m just predicting at least 600 to 700ft tall!

Godzilla is going to be stronger. In the years since Godzilla defeated the Mutos, the king has sought out powerful sources of nuclear energy and radiation, becoming somewhat of a menace to humanity. His atomic breath will be more powerful and be used more. Rodan will be fast and deadly. Mothra will be beautiful and a pacifist unless attacked. King Ghidorah will be more powerful and larger than Godzilla, making him a tough opponent. I predict there will be plenty of monster fights and that the climax will see Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan teaming up against King Ghidorah.

Average, but enjoyable.

this is just an update to the people that were expecting a new forum today.

seeing as the popularity of the series has gone down massively and because I want to move on to other subjects for the site, I will give the "how to include into the monsterverse" series a break.

I feel like people are getting a bit bored of the series and the fact that there isn't a lot of hope for the future of the monsterverse also doesn't help.

maybe in the future, I will continue the series if there is some confirmation of more monsterverse movies. an alternative could be to make it more of a "how to reboot" series for each monster, but we will have to see about that.

So, in other words, just like the first film, we may need to wait just as long (about 2 months) for the sequel to come on Netflix.

^Again, context is key. It's bad that interest in seeing it theatrically is so low that it bombed, but advertising that it will be available on Netflix soon after doesn't exactly add incentive.

Well I will would see this as nothing much as a surprise. Knowing it will be on Netflix and soon after it’s released in theaters why would anyone want to spend money to see it. I don’t think this is bad news at all.

If Dance's character is in fact related to the "TITAN" black market, perhaps the post credits scene depicts his character with Kong in shackles.

Seeing as there isn’t a lot of activity on the site recently, I thought I would give you guys an update for next weeks forum for the ”how to include into the monsterverse” series. I have 4 options that I want to do next, but I want to know which one of these you would like to see first. Here are the options.

Jet Jaguar: a highly demanded character for a lot of people, but for this I would have to change a lot of his origins.

Orga: a kaiju that is surprisingly liked by a lot of people and one with a lot of potential for an original story.

Megaguirus: a kaiju connected to the original Rodan movie which could lead to some interesting stories.

Hedorah: a kaiju from a very controversial movie in the franchise. Fans want to see this kaiju return and face Godzilla ones again.

It's honestly great knowing that any news for this movie generates all forms of dumb rumors. Half the fun of waiting for a movie is deciphering whats real and what's not.

Make way fellas. With the internet knowing that screenings took place we can expect all manner of untrue information spilling out from now until next May. Enjoy!

I doubt we'll even get a look at the final designs at comic-con anyway. Both of the first trailers for G'14 and Kong didn't reveal a thing.

That's unfortunate because I really liked the concept of the Dorats protecting Ghidorah’s body. Though it is also good because I did not really like the way Mothra was described in this leak. We will have to wait and see what the movie looks like when the first trailer arrives (hopefully at SDCC).

I will say, I like that description for Rodan. It definitely sounds like bs, but I'd be down with that.

Most of these things I have been expecting. Stuff like the location of the monsters and the humans’ perspective are some examples of that. The thing that really surprised me is the including of the Dorats. Now THAT is what I call fan service.

Hearing the stuff about Mothra has got me concerned for her design. Maybe her design might be more inspired by the rebirth series of movies. I was hoping more for the classic showa design, but maybe this is just because the CGI isn’t finished yet. we will have to see.

Unfortunately the Netflix release may still be another month off. There’s a good chance that Hollywood Reporter article was referring to the film’s international premiere at the Annecy Film Festival, and not its Netflix streaming release. It was still worded misleadingly, since it said “Netflix is set to premiere” the film even though it’s really Polygon themselves that will be screening it at Annecy.

I feel like the fans will be happy anyway it goes with the movies.

the monsterverse stops making movies with Godzilla. great, now we have many Japanese Godzilla movies to look forward to. the rights of Godzilla get extended. great, now we are getting more of the monsterverse to look forward to.

maybe Toho and legendary can even find a middle ground for the rights and both make movies. but maybe that's asking a bit too much.

anyway, it is a good time to be a Godzilla fan for sure. 

^... or even having a "Godzilla 3" at all. Seeing how this Monsterverse may be playing without Godzilla and the gang after 2020. I would hope that possibly the Monsterverse will continue with Godzilla in it after GvK.

I like that Toho wants to make a Cinematic Universe out of its licensed properties, but the way I look at it(depending on how well G:KOTM and GvK do in the box office) why not continue in the Monsterverse. I know Legendary has some problems right now, but hopefully these movies along with the other Legendary releases gets them out of the problems and continue with the Monsterverse.

I mean no matter what, whether its Toho or Legendary we will see a "Monsterverse" and maybe see all these monsters and Kaiju that we all talk about one way or another.

Yeah, maybe I should have been more clear about when the story takes place. 

Now I  have added a small note around the part of the disaster that States that those events take place around 2014 to 2020. This time period is around the time that in my opinion would make sense and fit in the story seeing as more time passes later on.

The part where Biollante and Godzilla fight would be around 2022 to 2026. This is when I would imagine Godzilla 3 to release and take place. That is assuming that they use Biollante in Godzilla 3

That makes sense. There were not any dates on the story so I was confused as to when the 90's expedition brought the Skull Island flower and then the G-cells were introduced. That's all.

But adding the possibility of Godzilla Jr.'s cells makes sense too.

I did not really think about how monarch got the Godzilla cells. Maybe Monarch collected some cells from Godzilla whilst he was knocked out in the 2014 movie. You could also combine this with the Godzilla Jr forum, where they got some cells from Godzilla Jr. Those are just some examples though.

I agree to have human cells fused with Godzilla cells. I like the Skull Island origin. But how does Monarch have Godzilla cells? That's my only beef with it all. But this was awesome to read. I love Biollante and this was fun to read. Great job.

Too disproportioned ... tail too long... arms too small... spinal plates... way too big. It looks great... but his head is too small given the rest of his overall body structure. That is why I did not care for shin Gojira all that much... because that tail was just insanely long and really offset his overall appearance. In my opinion. 

This is the best Godzilla design I've ever seen. Better than anything used in any movie. Just love it, and somebody at Toho should be making a deal with you immediately! That being said, doesn't need the spikes on the elbows or the oversized Shin G tail.

Cool design, but I could go without the Shin-gojira part of it.

Can't wait for a pic of you and your Velociraptor. It looks awesome.

^I feel the Brody family in the first film was hard to watch. I didn't care for any of the family and the mother kept making terrible decisions when things were looking grim. I feel like the movie was wasted on their point of view and didn't add any substance to it.

Now I obviously I have not seen G:KOTM and cant say Millie Bobby Brown & Kyle Chandler will add something for the audience to adhere to but I already like both actors and feel like they can carry the story more dramatically than the Brody family did. Plus star power helps bring in seats.

G14 killed off its biggest star and most interesting character in the first 30 minutes! I would loved to see Bryan Cranston along side his son help destroy the monster that destroyed his family and redeem himself after suffering for so long. But... that didn't happen. Instead we follow a soldier who so happens to find himself getting beaten around by every single monster in the movie around the world.

I am already happy to see the G2 is so far not killing off its popular actors that will be seen in GvK. They are not going to be making the same mistake as G14
