I wish I had enough money/time/free will/the power to stop being lazy for a moment so I could go... that looks so cool! For suckers with cash to burn, but I'm a sucker! I just don't have the cash XD
After getting spoiled on the last big GvK thing, I've made up my mind: no more early spoilers for me.
I only have 4 bucks, but I want to go! Maybe I'll ask my dad because he owns his own company and has five professional licenses from five different states so he has a lot of money.
My school doesn't let us kids access youtube. We can get on it, but we can't watch videos. Only the teachers can.
They can take my money and then I will find more money for them to take because I actually don't have that much money and I'm a sucker like dk says.
What a crock of sh%t! The room looks good, but posters and bottled water with trinkets are for suckers with cash to burn. But if you have cash to burn, by all means knock yourself out.
My favorite moment would have to be when Kong is "sleep" and Godzilla is just slapping him in the face with his tail. There are very few moments that I want them to re-create from the original, but THAT in some way would be amazing!
Now, For Godzilla V Kong 2020... what I'm most excited about is how they are going to come together. As vans, we love to speculate and give our opinions, but I love to see where the filmmakers decide to take us. Let's be honest, Godzilla and Kong are Earth's TRUE Mightiest Heroes.
JurassicKaiju14,
I'm of the opinion there has not been a better kaiju or giant monster movie since 1999's Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris. Some have come close. But rarely do you find a movie you can watch so many times and find something you didn't see before - or something new it makes you think about - or something that becomes clearer and cooler on repeat viewings.
If Godzilla '54 is the granddaddy of tokusatsu and the greatest kaiju film of all time, Gamera 3 is its modern successor, showing how far the genre's themes and visual effects style have come.
The Gamera trilogy as a whole is the greatest succession of what Honda/Tsuburaya/Sekizawa/Ifukube took flight with.
G. H. (Gman) I really want to get around to watching the Heisei Gamera trilogy. I've heard a lot of really good things about it, and what little I've seen of it looks awesome.
True, but remember they tried to burn kong with napalm.
Napalm max heat is 2500+°.
And remember kong struggled but he managed to resist it.
I dont think the heat that rodan produces is enough to burn kong.
And also remember Kong is fighting Godzilla, A monster which could beat Rodan so it wont make sense rodan beating kong if he will fight godzilla.
Rodan just because he can fly so fast and he basically has magma for blood and he is always hot and burning and if kong wounds him and he is too close he would get burned.
Monster_Zero 2112,
Look into changing that. Some real gems in the franchise.
Me? I don't really care as long as they make Pop! vinyls of the characters/monsters, which I have 99 Pop! vinyls and my goal is to get to 200, which I found Iron Maiden Pop! vinyls of Eddie from each album so that's next on my list.
Yeah but remember monarch has been founded on mid 40's
They could have time to build the aircraft.
Dude, it would have to be a bigger version of Noah's Ark to carry the Titans.
@dk The aircraft maybe a monarch aircraft specialized to carry titans.
I've never seen Gamera.
I told you! "Godzilla is 393 ft tall and last we saw in Kong:Skull Island, Kong was 100 ft tall and that's 47 years between 1973 and 2020 so he has to grow"
Unfortunately, Mythbusters stopped years ago, so we will never know.
JurassicKaiju14 That pic seems accurate! The difference is that because we are all smarter and more skeptical/cynical now that we are enlightened by the interwebz :D
The aircraft carrier ship would look like this in mere seconds after G&K got on it and started fighting:

Just enjoy the movie!
Love it, thanks Elijah!
JurassicKaiju14
Also, somebody did do the math and proved (kinda) that it was mathematically possible for this to work on one of the first articles on that footage when it was first leaked.
dk "There is no way a ship that size could appear that stable with those creatures on it."

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. It's just utterly astonishing how many people are whining over the aircraft carrier thing (if it's even an aircraft carrier at all) while willing to let crazier looking things in past movies slide.
Pun completely intended. No regrets.
I am not sure it matters right now if the leaked pic of them on the huge ship is to be believed. There is no way a ship that size could appear that stable with those creatures on it.
It has always been over the top while ignoring physics. We should just have fun and enjoy the spectacle!
Another reason it is a good thing kong isn't too big is because it would make him an easier target and he wouldn't be as agile.

MechaniKong1223 I doubt that's the case. I'm pretty sure this is just a toyline exclusive.
JurassicKaiju14 It does seem to have some kind of white or highlight in the spins. If "Mega" Godzilla is Mechagodzilla's artificial skin as MechaniKong1223 suggests then that white color might be the metalic fins poking through.
Kong is supposed to be around Godzilla's height.
I think he could be higher than 350ft but lower than 390ft.
I mean, who would want that?
My love for dinosaurs and lizard-looking creatures
@JurassicKaiju14
Yes, that sounds like a very credible theory, and I have heard others a lot like it. That can set up another "don't mess with nature" agenda, which is a recurring theme throughout the Godzilla franchise. I also think that Mechagodzilla will go on some mission to destroy both Godzilla and Kong so that humans can have complete control over the titans like you said, or something along those lines.
Monster_Zero 2112 I think we can all (or almost all) agree to that.
Here's my theory: I think that Ghidorah's last head will be involved somehow in Mechagodzilla's creation. Maybe as a sort of biological control unit or something. And here's why.
KOTM establishes that the Titans have a sort of Alpha-based hierarchy; the most powerful among them is their leader.
But what if humanity found a way to bend that system to our will? What if we had a mechanized Titan of our own, with enough firepower and tech to take them down if necessary, but just organic enough that they'd listen to it...and by extension, us.
Can we stop arguing and hope the that movie won't go down in a shit-hole?
