Miscellaneous
So the AIP TV dubs for the Shòwa films are in the public domain. These include:
• Gammera The Invincible
• War of the Monsters
• Gamera vs. Gaos
• Destroy All Planets
• Attack of the Giant Monsters
• Gamera vs. Monster X
• Gamera vs. The Deep Sea Monster Zigra
So since these have been in public domain many prints have been made and they've been featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 so here are the 2 "public domain" released I recommend.
• Japanese Monster Movies 8 Movie Collectors Edition (2013) TGG DIRECT
• Mystery Science Theater 3000 Vol. 21 (2011) Shout Factory

A true fan can acknowledge the bad while still appreciating and cherishing the good.

I'm of the opinion there has not been a better kaiju or giant monster movie since 1999's Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris. Some have come close. But rarely do you find a movie you can watch so many times and find something you didn't see before - or something new it makes you think about - or something that becomes clearer and cooler on repeat viewings.
If Godzilla '54 is the granddaddy of tokusatsu and the greatest kaiju film of all time, Gamera 3 is its modern successor, showing how far the genre's themes and visual effects style have come.
The Gamera trilogy as a whole is the greatest succession of what Honda/Tsuburaya/Sekizawa/Ifukube took flight with.
