This may be cheating, because i have two idea, and one of them doesnt star Godzilla. The first is: "IguanaSaurus", which is a remake of the 1998 movie. This would be a kids movie. In this movie, we meet IguanaSaurus (Zilla). He is a bored out Kaiju living in an underwater cave outside New York City. He has always been ridiculed by all the other kaiju`s he have met. But news has it that his greatest idol, Godzilla, is coming to chrush New York. Excited, IguanaSaurus goes to town. And there, the people of New York mistakes him for Godzilla. This gives Iguana the chance to finnaly live out his dream, but this soon takes a turn when the real Godzilla comes. All sorts of shenanigans happen, he help Godzilla defeat another enemy, learns an important lesson and THE END. My second, and alot more serious idea is: Godzilla: Great Kaiju War. This movie stars Godzilla as, um, Godzilla. In this movie, an alien race attacks earth with the help of their deadly flying saucers, there two mercenary kaiju`s, Gigan and Megalon, and other alien kaiju`s like Orga, Zilla (He is indeed on the enemy team), And so on. But the earth kaiju`s fights back, and eventually fight King Ghidorah, a terrifying planet destroying pawn of the aliens.

I don't know, Godzilla had to have help to beat both of them. Keizer Ghidorah can drain Destroyah's power, but Destroyah can use his oxygen destroyer powers. I would have to say Destroyah because he has more weapons. Keizer Ghidorah only has those gravity beams.

good question i would have to say keizer ghidorah because godzilla couldnt handle him until he got a power boost from the gotango with destroyah while godzilla was sick he still managed to handle destroyah with no problem but it was the super x 3 that delievered the death blow to destroyah

A wonderful idea! Honestly I can respect fans who say the two should stay in their own universes. Seriously though, they're two gian movie monsters so their universes kinda compliment each other and it makes sense for them to overlap. Also if Toho Studios could've afforded the licensing fees for King Kong he would've been in more than just the original and King Kong Escapes to begin with. I don't know how many people heard that rumor that persisted for a long time that Toho Studios made two versions with each winning before, but if they remade it I think it would be a perfect way to call it a draw and both iconic movie monsters win in their own respect. I'm a huge fan of both and I think a remake under such a premise would only do equal justice to both. I do agree that the original left the ending looking like a logical draw. Awesome movie and I'll always cherish it, but a modern remake would definitely be great if it got done right.

As soon as I (unexpectedly) saw it on Facebook my initial reaction was "oh yeah!". It is clearly a Toho derived Godzilla with a few tweaks. Personally, I'd like longer teeth and slightly less snouty nose, maybe throw in a few scars to sell how baddass he is but then I'm being picky! They've stuck to the classic and that's all I could have asked for - oh yeahs he's also charcoal grey, not green! This points to a production that loves and embraces its central character rather than trying to reinvent or distant themselves from it like the 1998 fiasco.

Someone on another Godzilla forum (scifijapan.com) ran the picture on his website, Kaijucast. As much as I like Gigan, we did see him in the most recent film. What I would do is make a trilogy with the following monsters: Godzilla 2014: King Ghidorah/original Kaiju Godzilla 2: Gigan/Biollante Godzilla 3: Destroyah/SpaceGodzilla (New, face-kickingly awesome version).

What I think would be an interesting idea is to use the audio from the original 1954 film. Other than that, show destroyed buildings, Godzilla's tail and feet, and then show Godzilla roaring in a final, climatic shot.

The trailer opens up with a quote by Robert Oppenheimer (gotta love this quote). Oppenheimer appears in the beginning scene of the trailer "We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed..." *Nuclear bomb footage is cued* *black screen* "A few people cried. Most people were silent." *A scene shows San Francisco being destroyed (without showing the monsters* * I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita..." *fades to black* *original 1954 Godzilla footsteps are heard* "...Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,..." *Scene of Godzilla (from the 2012 comic con) is cued* [img]godzilla2014_movie_screencap1.jpg[/img] "...Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." *Godzilla's roar is heard* *fades* "I suppose we all thought that, one way or another." the words "[b]GODZILLA[/b]" are flashed on the screen.

Keizer Ghidorah

A realistic, dark, and cerebral nuclear allegory story with strong ties to environmental damage and pollution. Earth is suddenly plagued by attacks from thousands of giant insects (multiple versions of megalon, megaguirus, komunga, kamakarus, etc) which are revealed to be mutated due to nuclear energy. Aside from the insects, Godzilla shows up on the scene and starts a world destruction tour of sorts. The governments of the world put their faith in the hands of an ethically challenged bio-technology company, which creates ‘anti-nuclear’ bacteria even when the data on its growth doesn’t pan out. The bacteria manages to defeat the hoard insects and drive Godzilla away, but mutates and spawns a toxin-absorbing smog monster! Hedorah ravages the planet until Godzilla returns to roast him and whatever city they happen to be in. The human characters watch Godzilla walk into the ocean and ponder humanity’s hubris.

A full-fledged trailer right now would be too much, but I think consistent teasing is appropriate for a few reasons. Firstly, Legendary really needs to drive the case home over time that this won’t be the ’98 Godzilla. The other day I heard two idiots on the bus joking about the Godzilla movie they’ve just heard about, wondering if he was going to lay eggs like “in the original”. The public needs to be aware that this isn’t the same monster, but not necessarily through a trailer. Secondly, his presence in teaser material should reflect his character…which is mysterious. His presence ahead of time needs to be just as secretive, derelict and unknown as the true original. Maybe a teaser poster every two months or so showing off bits of anatomy, skin texture, other monsters, characters, but not him out in the open in the sunlight. Thirdly I notice that a lot of upcoming movies hold off ALL information until the last two months, and then bombard a tv audience with a ‘sizzle reel’ revealing every great shot, quote and effect from the movie. Godzilla shouldn’t be spoiled too early or too late, Legendary just needs to put the advertising rubric down and try a Goldi-locks approach to this. That said, if I have to wait until the Hobbit to see Godzilla I’ll be really angry. Not because I had to wait, but because I won’t find Smaug scary at all after a Godzilla teaser.

November 3rd would be pretty cool.

Okay, lets see what would be best to change? Oh yes, NO ZILLA IN FINAL WARS. But if i choose the same of the OP this thread would get boring, so im gonna go with...Godzilla against MechaGodzilla/Tokyo SOS. The changes are gonna be the same in both movies Okay, first of all Kiryu would need a redesign, to make it look more like the heisei version. Second, the entire Godzilla-soul shit should be removed. Godzilla`s design should have stayed the same as the Godzilla VS Megaguirus design, and it should also follow the storyline. Beyond that, i have no problems.

I don't have the issuse number, but something like that happened in the Marvel Godzilla comics in the 70's.

If it were up to me I wouldn't use any Heisei monsters. I think I'd fill a trilogy with the heavy hitters: Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah-- with King Ghidorah used for the middle movie, ala, the Joker for [i]The Dark Knight[/i]. No idea how the concept would work, but King Ghidorah is Godzilla's greatest nemesis. I feel like there should be an effort bring him onscreen as well.

^That's probably a fairly accurate hope/estimation. I'm leaning closer to December though.

The Legendary Era

Unless: -There's the Main Villain set up throughout the film and shows up at the climax to fight Godzilla -Like Kamacuras and Meganulas, there are a swarm of creatures against Godzilla thorughout the film. If Toho counted a Monster Icon for all the Kamacuras, why can't Legendary do with this one?

If Legendary makes a Trilogy: [i]Godzilla[/i] (won't happen though but maybe they are hiding Villain Toho Monsters until the film?): Hedorah as the Antagonist, with a swarm of Kamacuras and Military Forces as Supporting Villains. For [i]Godzilla 2[/i]: Destroyah as the Antagonist and Varan as a Supporting Villain with Jet Jaguar as an ally of Godzilla. For [i]Godzilla 3[/i]: King Ghidorah (later as Mecha-King Ghidorah) as the Antagonist with Kumonga as an opener (EX: Scarecrow in [i]The Dark Knight[/i]), Mecha-Godzilla as a Villain first but then later an ally of Godzilla.

Hopefully a Trailer debuts in November, and a 2nd Official Trailer in March/April.

Here's my 2 cents. First off, a fighting game. Godzilla: Kaiju Sensou We use every monster from every Godzilla film!(with a few exceptions) Each with different special moves, stats, strengths and weaknesses. The monsters should be rendered perfectly, looking and sounding exactly like they did in the movies. Use graphics that emphasize great size with fluid movement. Think carefully about each move, 'would/could Godzilla do this?' must always be on your mind. Also, tones of cities, fully destructible of course. In order to appeal to fans and casual gamers looking for some novelty, the game should be easy to pick-up and play. Mainly the controls seen in Destroy All Monsters Melee, and Save the Earth should be used. The energy system from Save the Earth should be used. Beam clashes should be back, but let's use a rapid-tap system instead of button priority. Leave out thous dumb mini games where we have monsters shooting hoops or throwing things at boats, just keep it simple and destroy the city. The power ups should be back too, as well as the rage attacks. Now for something I feel most if not ALL Godzilla games are lacking, fatalities! Again something easy to do, like hold LT and hit A,B,B,A. I'm thinking 2 per monster. Done in cinematics and they should be BRUTAL!!! I mean, I've got like a laundry list of ideas. Hedorah can cover you with toxic goo leaving you as a rotten decayed corpse. Gorosaurus could take huge bite out of you as he shoves you to the ground with his foot and then starts eating you. Spacegodzilla could impale you on his crystals. Mechagodzilla could self-destruct. Don't you just love it!?! As for story, I think Godzilla's life is a story in and of itself. A chronicle of his life would be, imo, the best way to go. Going through the stages of Godzilla's life and battles will give newcomers a look at what the big G is all about and giving plenty of nostalgia to the fans and true believers. Arcade mode should start with a narrated description of your monster with cinematics. The endings MUST have cinematics too, I'm tired of looking at still pictures with zoom effects. Maybe even create your own custom Kaiju. Questions, comments, or concerns? Let me know!
