Godzilla 2000 without a doubt

I am just excited to see this New and Improved Godzilla on the big screen. I did see the Geno movie and Godzilla 2000 on the big screen but If this is anything like Pacific Rim, Which of course it will be, THEN IT IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!! I hope. I have been a Die hard godzilla fan since my dad showed me Godzilla King of the monsters and since then I have been hooked, have all the movies. SIMPLY JUST CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS!!!!!

I truly hope there is not one on the Super Bowl. The SuperBowl advertises silly things like Doritos and Xbox and play station. I don't want to see this dark and gritty trailer amongst eye popping neon happy go lucky commercials about how I should buy Doritos so I could lick my hands at the end  because of the cheese on my fingers. the Super Bowl doesn't set a dark tone, and neither do the commercials.Most people don't want to see a trailer on Super Bowl day. They want to see funny and clever commercials that last 15 seconds so they can get on to the next one. I suppose putting it there for views is the smartest thing to do, but it'd be so out of place . Personally I found the teaser trailer to be better watching it alone. You get to reflect on it and think about it in contrary to when I saw it with other people where they'd be like "okay,that was really cool, but lets move on to the next trailer" . It just wouldn't be a good first impression debuting on TV IMO

seriously? of course they would! letting go of the cash now so that everyone can see the superbowl commercial  means buttloads of cash later, besides, you see things with less budgetting like video games putting comercials on the superbowl so why wouldn't there be one for godzilla?

Both of you are smart lol and I aint kidding, i already know this movie is gonna have its own soundtrack to be the end credits, i just thought of hearing other people's opinions but true about what you two said, dubstep or songs by artist wont fit this movie at all and really shouldnt for a film like this with its own tone and stuff

Ok listen, it needs to be the movie's own soundtrack. It can't be pop song or dubstep. Just imagine that being the thing you hear aften a serious, apocalyptic movie. In my opionion that would just be stupid and the ruin the tone.

Toho did use his music after he retired. He retired in 1995, but they used his themes in Godzilla 2000, Godzilla x Megaguirus, Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah (end credits) and it's heard in the opening and main title of Godzilla Final Wars.

Tht's not the issue. The issue here is, will the original themes work with this new Godzilla? Hard to tell right now, but I'm going to guess no.

I also don't think "songs" will work in the end credits to this Godzilla. Radioactive by Imagine Dragons is a good song, but that doesn't mean it's a good fit for this movie. The sound might be completely off the mood of what this film is trying to accomplish.

Anyone who thinks there is going to be commercial electronica, metal or dubstep in any part of this movie is kidding themselves. At best, there will probably be music that sounds, more or less, similar to what we heard in the trailer.

To have a better idea of what the music is going to sound like I recommend everyone listen to past stuff from the composer of the new Godzilla. His name is Alexandre Desplat. Here's some stuff he's done:

I think there's a lot in these particular tracks that could represent the new movie.

I'm not sure Legendary is going to fork over the cash for a super bowl spot.

i can so easily see them taking the story up after the destroyah story line, casue godzilla jr. would have been exposed for a far more concentrated dose of nuclear energy from his father just before he had that meltdown, i believe that was godzilla number 2 and godzilla jr is the third. think of the night mare of that. so far 3 what happens when the numbers catch up and theres two then three then four.. 

@AKAGI Yeah I agree, almost every rebooted movie never uses a classic theme so most likely this film aint gonna have any TOHO music. And like I said, Legendary probably never even bought the music rights as well

i keep feeling like they are going to change to origin story and Godzilla himself will be an excaped experiment from muto, maybe left for dead after a nuclear expiriment or some shit like that. 

There won't be any Ifukube music in the film.

Toho wouldn't even use his music after his retirement and I highly doubt Legendary will use it after his death.

@ShazoTheHedgeHog, I agree. I just listened to it again I agree it would fit the opening better.

@Akio123 I do think they should put it somewhere in the movie as a tribute the original Godzilla.

I think the orignal theme would be a great Tribute. After all, its the sound to Godzilla.

Maybe, I have listened to that pandoras patriots godzilla theme for a while now and I think that specific theme would fit for the opening, not the ending.

I want a dirty fight like how I see Pacific Rim. I want Godzilla fight like King Kong, throwing them into a somersault from buildings to buildings. I want Godzilla do his grabbing moves from Godzilla Save The Earth from the xbox games. THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO SEE!

What do you think about my hypothesis of what MUTO will do? I mean, you will have biollante and Destoryah as the ultimate mutation before the alien occurs.

I would like a little dubstep version of the Godzilla theme. The reason for this idea was because when I watched World War Z (great movie by the way), they mixed the World War Z theme with a touch of dub step. It may sound stupid, but it could be effective.

When I read the title of your forum I immediately thought Radioactive by Imagine Dragons, but if they don't do that I say use the movie score or Light E'm Up  by Fall Out Boy.

Exactly Duratok. See a Trailer actually reveals plot points and some story. A Teaser only hints at them. This was most definitely a teaser and even Legendary has referred to it as such. Someone mentioned Super bowl... Thoughts?

I'm going to stick with this theory for the movie plot.

From the current official plot synopsis we do kind of know the Mutos are created by Humans, whether by accident or intentionally. So that much I wouldn't discount.

It should be in the Super Bowl, if not then thats disappointing
