yeah that 'legendary' fight might never happen unless toho would buy gamera which is unlikely.
I wouldn't be surprsied if there was a trailer in front of the Lego Movie.
Speaking of the Avengers, there was a trailer for a Pixar movie and a Disney animated movie before it, there was also a trailer for Prometheus before it. Two fo those three went on to be PG rated and aimed at younger audiences. Prometheus went on to get a strong R rating.
I've seen plenty of kids movies have previews of strong PG-13 movies in front of them.
I've even seen some kids movies have R rated movies previewed in front of them! (That could be a lousy choice of the projector...choosing R rated advertisements in front of kids movies.)
It's not out of question.
And, the fact that both the Lego movie and Godzilla are both being distributed by Warner Bros. it really only makes sense in my honest opinion.
Im glad to see i evoked some thoughts.
And im sure we must see some more MUTO in the next trailer, i mean, a second trailer should always aim to show a bit more than the first.
but really the marketing has been fine, it should kick off bigger later this month about 2 weeks time, that would make it exactly 3 months before the movie (WOW time does fly by so fast)
eeeeeeehhhhhhh probably not this is'nt JAPAN as mutch as i would love to see that happen,By lengendary fight do you mean GODZILLA vs GAMERA??? that should and would NEVER!! happen.
well, there is us as fans and those bigger names who like godzilla as well, you got ign, mtv (to a lesser extent), big newspaper publishers, internet reviwers about 3 months left which is still plenty of time infact when it hits the 100 day mark is when i think the marketing will start to kick off but all that is left is:
1. more posters, so far we only have 2 theatrical posters, the recent one that came with the tariler is the most used so far, we need more posters that still make the movie good while still hiding godzilla full body, also ones with the cast
2. magazine coverage, in magazines like the empire or any big sci fi magz, they arent extactly nessery but it does give more publicity
3. anouther tailer/teaser, this is what most of us want, the next trailer should do exactly what the first teaser did but instead show more of the monsters, and just like the first teaser, hide them, either by showing parts of them or showing a silouete.
I got inspired to theories. I really like to do s peculation of the muto monster that wrecked the train.
But if the rumored trailer comes out on the 7th and still doesnt show muto fully Ill do a drawing speculation.
@MOSTER MOVIEGUY Kids get scared at the avengers you must be joking lol.
its made to blow both kids and Adult mind
as kaijujira said, godzilla will also have a new image, much different to what most he has now to most people.
put superhero movies to sleep, no that wont happen, start a revolution and a new wave of popularity for the kaiju genre, most likely.
That would be great.
and it will stop having the annoying people who take godzilla as something small and childish.
to be honest that the godzilla 90's in unleased only has the face that could be 90's or 85, one he is green instead of charcole grey and 2 he has the exact body of 54 unleashed
yes but he did not have his eyes open as big as 85 had 91 had a much more darker eyes than 85
remeber godzilla 1991, he is the basis of godzilla 90's but looks more powerful and still had the 1984/85 roar.
Yes, I agree. He looks like the one from 1985 in the Wii version. And he has the dark roar of the 1985 version. The Godzilla from the 90s sounds different.
In the Ps2 version he is the 90s version and he sounds like he his. The one from the Wii version is cooler in my opinion.
I dont have a Xbox one but i have a 360
I used to watch the first Jurassic Park almost every week and that's the reason, I love dinosaurs but, the only thing that scarred me for a while, was Gollum from LOTR. But, that didn't stop me from watching films oh, no! If a kid saw that trailer, they would say "Holy crap! That.... was.... AWESOME!" They watched the Avengers and no kid was scarred nor the Hobbit.
Mine will be for STE Godzilla 90s,Godzilla 2000,space godzilla for unleashed Godzilla 1985 look closer i play on the wii and it sound like 1985 and looks like 85 cuz its Burning Godzilla and king Ghidorha burning forms
Just because a trailer may be released online doesn't automatically mean it will be attached to a movie. The X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer wasn't attached to anything until a week or two after it came online.
It could be an internet exclusive trailer that won't be shipped to theaters until later. Which makes sense to capitalize on the other, shorter trailers being released online today during the Super Bowl.
Plus, if Godzilla is going to be advertised during the Olympics, it might be a trailer that will be used/spliced for that broadcast.
@DOGGIEZILLA lol I'm just saying it doesn't make sense from a marketing standpoint. Your going to see other animated kid friendly movies with The Lego Movie. Godzilla will most likely be attached to 300.
i watched soo many intense movies when i was a kid. i also saw jurassic park really early, i was probably like two the first time i saw it. i king of the monsters when i was just one, teh crazy thing is, it stuck with me so well that i still remember it almost 17 years later. so i don't think that all kids will be scared of a godzilla trailer, especially a trailer. of course there are even a few that were older kids that had nightmares over wallas and gromit LOL. if they had seen the new godzilla they would pee their pants. so this seems to be a really tough call to me.
I know this is just me but personally I saw Jurassic Park when I was 4 and my first Godzilla movie when I was 6... it does have a darker tone but considering how many little kids I see in every Hobbit movie/Avengers movie/Transformers movie that comes out I feel like it may not be as out of the demographic as you may think. Heck I saw the Patriot when I was 8 because my parents wanted me to have a better understanding of what war is. There will be obviously toys marketting the film to kids and heck, I remember when I was 6 that ID4 (Independence Day) was the coolest thing ever. Just throwing in my 2 cents... never underestimate what parents will let their children see.
I don't understand how people are thorwing around the word realistic and unrealistic. It's a movie and its allowed to stretch the boundries of realism. No one should be bashed for coming up with theories on how Godzilla came to be because they are "unrealistic" because any theory you come up with is a made up story also. Personally, I like the idea that Godzilla is an acient creature that was awoken and then slightly mutated by the nuclear exposure. I feel like that explains his nuclear breath best.
never knew it worked like this. you really have an awesome job. it would be really cool if you did this. i really think most kids would be like " oh my god mom can we see it?!" we give kids a little less credit than they deserve when it comes to being able to take a movie like this. i watched the lost world jurassic park when i was 4 and im okay. infact it got me into dinosaurs.
BOO! @ Mikeynamez
That will be cool if it was some strategy game.
You know, when I went to see the Michael Bay Transformers movie back in 2007, I saw a Cloverfield trailer before the film.
The Transformers movie is aimed towards a wide demographic, children and adults alike, whilst Cloverfield is obviously an adult giant monster movie, so take that how you will in relation to the new Godzilla trailer...
@CHRIS, thanks man!
A I said before, I have faith in your sources!
Call me an idiot, but your phrase, "As for my source regarding this "script's" legitimacy can be 100% trusted as they would know better than anyone if the script was legit or not," does that mean this script is fanfic or real?
I know that sounds like a crazy question, but I'm having trouble understand whether or not you mean the leak is legit or the people discussing the script are legit!
But, thanks for the reply man!
Not even remotely possible. The age demographic of the leg movie doesnt fit with godzilla. Unless you want to terrify the poor kids.
i have a feeling the trailer will be out mid tuesday when most other official trailers get posted
There is literally no way they will show godzilla before the lego movie. That lego movie will have kids 4,5,6,7 years old in there and this godzilla will scare the shit out of them. I would be pissed if my 7yr old saw that. She would have nighmares lol
Looks like we have less than a week to find out.
I hope so and I also do believe so. The trailer should definitely come out soon. If it doesn't come out this month then it should come out in March.
Miami, New York, Las Vegas.
Nice find. I'm wondering what kind of game this is going to be.
You know what guys, it's not crazy to assume the OP is accurate. Look at Godzilla's face scale pattern, specifically on his legs. And let's not forget the hands... They look very crocodilian in nature. We know Godzilla will have a flashback scene to 1954.. Perhaps it explains Godzilla's origin in a new way - where he IS a mutated croc. Croca have small, "spike like" protrusions along their back, which could mutate and deform to create Godzilla's iconic back plates. The thing is Godzilla is a force of nature, and certain aspects can not be explained scientifically. But considering Godzilla's had a few different origins throughout his film career it's not out of the question that this one is a mutation of either an existing Alligator or a hidden, unknown species. But the new design is heavily inspires by Alligators, no denying that.
It certainly would make sense... ;)
@JMac, Regarding the sources I spoke to about about he leaked images and trailer info, they can be trusted, based on the info I was given and the background checks I was able to perform. However I always like to remain a little skeptical just in case. But I have good faith my contacts weren't leading me astray.
As for my source regarding this "script's" legitimacy can be 100% trusted as they would know better than anyone if the script was legit or not. ;)
This all being said I can not release their names due to the fact that A) I don't have their permission to and B) at least one of my sources could potentially lose their current job if their name was linked to an early info leak.
As for CosmicBookNews.com, I won't bash their site, but I've urged people to not take some of their Godzilla posts seriously because of a few factors I've noticed in the past with them. They rarely get the info right or they make up new info all together. Again I'm not bashing them just saying you shouldn't take their word as fact.
Regarding them reaching out to WB about the trailer, I've reached out to Legendary in the past about trailer release dates and its their policy not to disclose such information. So that really doesn't mean anything. Thats the expected response. It would be more interesting if they said "maybe" or "yes", but they wouldn't.
@Doggiezilla, yes the 1984 suit is very underrated, but is still my favorite Godzilla suit next to the original.
