I mean it probably will be some kind of rainy/night-time thing based on what we've seen in the trailers so far. So you'll probably get your wish.
However, why would you WANT that? The rainy/nighttime gimmick is already used in dozens upon dozens of films over to cover up sloppy CGI work. It's an excuse to render less detail, since it gets to be 'obscured' by phoned in darkness and water anyway.
I for one, would FINALLY like to get a decent daytime fair weather CGI action sequence that is in a movie OTHER than Transformers.
Maybe you do too, and your post was intentional sarcasm.....if so.... well played. I just can't quite tell.
Between 2hrs and 10mins. to 2hrs and 30mins
That's pretty cool.
That looks really cool, but I like to hope that in the movie, it's going to be a night battle in the rain.
If you reveal to much then the movie will be spoiled for us and that's no fun.
I mean't to say an 8 leg muto that had 3 fingers on all of them and the other muto that had legs that bent with no fingers and that it is black and other one isn't. So either there are at least 2 muto's in the film or they messed up an edited out for the 2nd trailer or we can take these 2 trailers and let them tease us like they should. True trailers aren't mean't to be revealing to much but to keep us curious.
Just an unrelated question, anybody know/estimate how much the giant figure will cost when its officially released?
Yeah, I would be a little disappointed if there is only 1 muto but the 1st trailer showed us an 8 leg muto and the 2nd trailer with a muto that has legs that curve and is black, so we can assume there's more then 1 muto in the film but again we can be wrong. The movie still looks awesome and I believe it will not disappoint but again that's me.
Thanks Chris! Glad to be here!
I'm just hoping some company would make something like that again.
Hey, I don't know but did anyone grow up with (I'm in my mid 30's to say) a full size blow up Godzilla (like 6-7' ft tall)? I diffinitly did!! Just asking. It was the mid to late 80's when my parent's got it and I would love for someone to do that again, I would love to get one for my kids.
Heh, Look at that photoshopped kid...
I've got a contact at Titan Books who sends me cool preview copies of upcoming novels from time to time... I'll send him an email and see what he can tell me about the one spotted in this pic. Will report back once I have something!
I thought it said March 17th.
If you think about it, all fossils are generally found underground. I think that they'll find a little bit of Godzilla's origins underground in the movie. There's a scene where the scientist and others are exploring a skeleton of a monster underground. I think it's a dead Godzilla but everyone doubts it.
They're children toys. The real deal models that will cost quite a bit will on point with the real thing.
Godzilla doesn't need fangs or anything else. This Godzilla looks great as is and if he where real life like. I be running for my F'in life
If they steal Godzilla's radiation, they could also steal his DNA. I believe that there will be a Godzilla Hybrid but I also doubt it. If you've seen the toy pictures going around, we don't see the Godzilla hybrid in any of them. We still have around 2 months left so anything can happen.
I just hope this movie will be great, the trailer seems to reasure that but I can be wrong and I'm hoping I'm really wrong, which in end I feel right for feeling wrong. So who knows and who else should care?
I will say the same thing I said about the mutos, they're children's toys, they're going to look dumb for the most part becuase they're for kids. Neca will capture the essence of Godzilla down to every last scale, just be patient, March 14th is next friday.
Who cares what the muto's/kaiju's look like whether they are original classic kaiju's or just brand spanking new kaiju's/muto's, we should just be looking forward to an awesome monster flick. Jeez luis it's Godzilla for crying out loud and by the looks of the trailer, this movie should be one the best flicks of the year or it possibly could come down to the greatest Godzilla movie ever or monster movie ever. P.S. by looking at the trailer doesn't mean the movie will rock but all in all of this is just my opinion only, you will have yours and I'll have mine but I'm certainly sure that we can agree on is that this movie does look really awesome!!
I really, really, really need that Giant Size Godzilla.
Very true and a good reminder. From the trailer, we were relieved to see that Goji is in good hands with Gareth. Besides one of our most beloved monsters is definitely uninspired:

I had an idea that perhap since the MUTOs have to kill Godzillas to nest their young, maybe, like how a Xenomorph yeilds the DNA of it's host, it could be a Muto-Godzilla hybrid...??
i personally have a clover phoebia srsly thats a thing ? right?
I like the idea of another type of Godzilla that the real King of the monsters fights, even though a lot of people don't. I'm strongly doubting anything 'Mecha' though.
So the next Simcity game with monsters?
Yeah, I noticed from the terrible lack of replies, haha. XD
It will probably be 2 hrs and 30 minutes.
I am disappointed too but in the end, we haven't seen the MUTO's design on-screen. We have only seen the toys. The MUTO's in the movie could look a lot different to the toys. The toys are always inaccurate. Just like the scene in the trailer where you see the big MUTO leg come down and smash the ground, wasn't the leg grey in colour? The toys are black. It could be different. And at the moment no one really has evidence of any other monsters. We just know that there are 2 monsters. A land MUTO and a flying MUTO.
You think those are uninspired? You guys are forgetting that one time where all Toho did was just take a T. rex and stick Stegosaurus spines on it! :)
You know ... i dont get why people say they look the same .. well for me maybe the only thing they look alike is the way they stand , thats all , for everything else MUTOS are looking great for me , in fact i like the detail (maybe its just me) that it looks a little bit HUMANOID , could science be playing with human DNA on this one?
Isn't Kumonga usually criticized for being uninspired? I've never really heard anyone say anything good about it.
