As much as I'd love to, I probably won't have the money. However, maybe I could make an exception for one or two..... like maybe the Deluxe Destruction Pack (gotta have that MUTO), and one of the Godzilla action figures..... lol.
Maybe a different type of muto
@ Angzilla
Considering this is a Godzilla movie, based on an already existing franchise, I would expect monsters from said franchise. It's just like saying Godzilla's look is uninspired because he's based on Godzilla.
And not much of a resemblance? Really? They have the same legs. Muto just has hooves. They have the same arms. Muto just has claws, instead of hands. They're bodies look extrememly similar, right down to the smaller arms above his waist. The only thing that is HUGELY different is its head. And before he evolves into the 4 armed monster, the resemblance is even closer.
kid's toys ,cheap plastic, uninspired toy work nothing like how it will be when they release the ncea toy
This is the first time I'm seeing that first drawing. Both look awesome.
That's awesome Daikaiju! You should try doing the 8-legged Muto.
is this what it was like in the sdcc trailer tell me!!!!!
good drawing
hopefully i want the jaegers or mecha-godzilla
I dunno, I haven't seen any figures which interest me at this time. They all seem kinda cheap, and geared for children.
The model would have to be made of durable material and have a MINIMUM of 12 points of articulation for me to be even remotely interested. Although 20-30+ is more what I would be looking for.
I'll probably hold out for a S.H. MonsterArts version or something of approximately equivalent articulation/quality....although maybe something a LITTLE cheaper. $75-$100 for one figure is quite a pinch. Most things under $15.00 are just not of high enough quality/flexibility. Maybe a med range item will come out, in the $30-$50 spectrum which will be just right, but I haven't seen anything quite like that yet.
Toys aside, I am very interested in the novelization/graphic novel. I don't buy novelizations often, but I must say I've enjoyed every one I have decided to pick up. I'll be really torn though :-) Whether to hold out on seeing the movie until I finish the novel, or see the movie opening night, and read the novel afterwards.........decisions decisions :-)
very good speculation
I feel sorry for you because i already pre ordered every one. I wish i could help, sign up on toywiz to get 10% off on purchases. Wish you good wind, may the wind always be at your back. LOL
That's awesome Danielle!
That is super cool! (Dang, Goji had better watch out!)
There are no toy stores near where I live, so it'd be a quest just trying to find any of the toys. That said, I'd probably pick up the chibi pack because it's cute and likely affordable!
Opening night at Spring Lane cinemas in Sanford, NC. Then the next day with my gf in Asheboro.....several showings most likely.
wow the one at the bottom the winged muto is really bizarre!
well, since my birthday comes out May 23, i'll get one right when they come out, then ask for the rest for my birthday. still trying to choose which one i'm gonna get....
Probably a theater in or around Portland, Oregon.
Clovis, California.
Edwards Fresno Stadium 22 & IMAX
i just wanna know cause ive been waiting a loooooong time for the giant size godzilla
can anyone tell me how much this is and when it comes out ???????
@ThisMeintiel
So in other words, like I said: just the general shape.
Seriously, there's not much resemblance. It's like saying that the design of Manda is uninspired because it looks like one of King Ghidorah's heads (yeah, I know, Atragon came before Ghidorah, The Three-Headed Monster, but you get my point, right?).
And what would the difference be between basing the design off of that of an American monster like Cloverfield, and basing it off of a Toho monster (keep in mind that no Toho monster other than Godzilla himself is going to be in the movie, which means that they couldn't call the new monster by the name of whatever Toho monster they based its design off of and say its an updated design if they did so)? Unless it's a somewhat obscure Toho monster like Maguma or Dogora, it'll probably elicit more claims of being "uninspired".
Another 24" Godzilla on ebay, but with a buy it now!!

daytime fight please
Lucky kid, got to meet Gareth Edwards. I wish I was there :(
Wow, it looks so real. Very well done :)
Statzman44, I still have that inflatable Godzilla. Not too long ago I blew it up so that my son could see it. What a blast!
Well, uninspired is definitely the word for it. This is the first time I actually looked at them side by side, and the resemblance is even more noticeable. Basically they took Clovy and changed his head and hands and feet, slapped a new coat of paint on him, and said he's brand new. If they were going to take a design from another monster and slightly update it, they should have done it with a Toho monster, not another American film. Of course, that's not said to bash the actual movie, as I'm sure it will turn out great. I'm just disappointed we won't be watching Godzilla fight an updated design of an old foe. Or if a new monster, a more original design.
On the amphibian part, there are theories that say that Godzilla's haert acts as a natural nuclear reactor that producs energy that is needed to live so he would not need to eat and therefore not have to breathe so this is how he can spend yeas in high depth sea levels. The dorsal fins is probably a advancement that is acts like a exhaust vent that has tiny holes in them scattered out to let heat and unwanted and/or uneeded chemicals and heat. Other than that your topic is pretty great and some people have been wondering how Godzilla is such a big threat if they could just send a very strong missle at him. I think that either he has Wolverine abilities that let him regenerate very fast or he has a almost impenetrable hide. This would be like glass, regular thin glass is easy to break, you could smash it by hitting it with your fists, but if you make it thick enough and combine it with plastic and it becomes bullet proff. The same could be with Godzilla since he doesn't need most of his internal organs like his intestine, stomach, lungs, or kidneys because of his nuclear heart. This would allow him to have more room for skin and stronger material that isn't in regular animals that mixed with skin in that right way could resist most explosians. This could also be ruined if Godzilla's heart takes up most of his body or if he has a second brain. So what do you guys think? Don't talk about nukes though because he can survive because of his "super skin" and he can just absorb the radiation and could probably make him stronger by making his heart work harder and his radiation beam would be more powerful.
My toys r us says they'll never have it so will someone tell me if these toys will be on amazon

What about future movies? There will be more movies if the movie will go well andhere will be more than the MUTO monsters and the MUTO monsters will probably have different names.
At least 2hrs and 30minutes and ill be happy. Any thing less or over 3hr and 30 minutes will be bad.
