I cried a little bit at the end of Godzilla 1985 but Godzilla vs Destroyah had me tearing up for about 15 minutes. It was really sad and I don't normally cry during movies. I watched Godzilla vs Destroyah not that long ago, maybe last week. Very sad.
This project is almost entirely a Legendary/Warner Bros venture. Yes, Toho is involved and approved the final design of Godzilla, but other than that it's out of their hands.
This film is not a sequel or a prequel to any of the Toho films, nor the Tristar Godzilla movie.

To tell you all the truth the only problem with the movie were 2 things
1. It copied some traits from jurassic park
2.they called it godzilla
Other than that it was an ok movie.

It's been established the movie has nothing to do with the 1998 version. And yes I believe Toho is involved with the 2014 movie.
The ending of Destoroyah, definitely. However, I knew that he comes back, and Godzilla never really dies.
The Godzilla movie that made me cry the most in the end was Godzilla 1998. The movie is cheesier than a Chicago pizza, but the monster was awesome and seeing it made me silently cry buckets. :(
people hate the movie because it had no plot, it was called Godzilla, CGI of 1998, and how they ripped of Godzilla, I like to think as the US in the movie had mistaken Zilla for Godzilla only to realize that it wasnt. I personally think that they should have continued on with Zilla and make a whole franchise.
Zillas weight is pretty good for a kaiju. Godzilla is heavy, Which means that he has more strength but is slower. Zilla is light and more therapod like. Zilla has an advantage against Godzilla. I think what people are getting at is that the movie was horible and so should the kaiju. The movie was crap but it was because they killed off Zilla. If i had the chance to talk to Rolland Emirich I would ask him to re-create the hatred. Fix what he did wrong.
The reason I don't like zilla is cause of the overall view he gave to the public from the 98 movie. One they used the name godzilla for the title, two they called him godzilla, three they maid godzilla/zilla look like a lizard who seems to rip off Jurassic park Which gave the public that he's just a lizard who dies of missiles. The public dosent know the true power of the godzilla side! They will know his power on May 16 where they will see a true godzilla movie, and the 1998 movie will vanish and be long gone for ever! Hopefully? Any way when you tell somebody to go see the new godzilla movie, they think of the 1998 film! then I have to explain what this film really is ,and that it has nothing to do with the 98 movie. They say that the 98 movie sucked! I show them new godzilla trailer, their response "yeah yeah I'll watch it" they watch it, "how my god this movie looks amazing I can't wait to go see it!"that's why I don't like zilla cause he gave a bad name to godzilla period!
Um , yeah im with Something Real on this one , maybe he just faints by the shock and intensity of the situation , remember this is a situation that no one has ever faced with before , so yeah maybe he just faints , and i dont think that one of them its going to die , probably they are going to get really wounded or fall into a coma , or by the way that things are going ( and this is just an assumption ) M.U.T.O [MONARCH] are going to take care of the Brodys , you know they are gonna capture Joe and Ford and interrogate them , and that would affect really hard on Elle and little Sam Brody ... but is just an assumption , it could happen at the end , it could happen from the beginning , the chances are endless , we dont know.

My favorite representation of Zilla was in Matt Frank's "Godzilla: Rulers of Earth". He was genuinely dangerous. He didn't have an array of powers, but he was fast, strong, and cunning. I'm glad Frank treated the creature with respect instead of sh*tting all over it like most fanboys.
Zilla is a really cool monster, given the opportunity.

Well zaffzilla is only a reference to godzilla not zilla. Just like in bodybuilding a man named Paul demayo had huge legs! His nick name was quadzilla in reference to godzilla not zilla. The beginning is part of my last name.
As for him fighting godzilla let's go over the basics. zilla 50-60 meters tall godzilla 107 meters tall. zilla dig'ing and swiming. Godzilla swiming both have ability to bite, claw; and tail whip. Zillas weight ? Godzillas weight ? Zilla. Fishy propane gas breath. Godzilla powerfull atomic breath. Both radioactive. zilla created by atomic bomb godzilla awakend by atomic bomb and craved for radioactive energy. Zilla reptile skin that can be penetrated with bullets tank shells and missiles etc. godzilla thick skinned hide that is strong enough to wistand a constant boming of nuclear weapons and any other weapon. Zilla waits for wounds to heal. Godzilla has a healing factor. Out of a fight godzilla is the dominant species and kicks zillas ass over and over and over again. Same thing go's with King Kong as we'll.

Zilla's a bitch, and runs away from a fight like a panzy ass girl. He made a disgrace to godzillas name, he gave godzilla a bad reputation for some people! He may be a king to himself but to tanks and jets hes nothing but an over sized lizard who needs to die! He's the laughing stock of kajuis, and is in the category of an animal. not like a force of nature like the true king of the monsters godzilla. Enough said! He's a big animal like King Kong , they die to easy.

To be fair almost every monster that showed up in final wars had its fanbase get the backhand. Ebirah, and Hedorah got it the worst but other than Gigan, Monster X, and Mothra none were done in the light they deserved.
I would just like to see Zilla get a real fight against Godzilla, but that thirst was quenched thanks to Godzilla Rulers of Earth where he actually got his decent fight.

When I was a kid I watched the original for the first time, and didn't know Godzilla died at the end. Seeing his bones made me really upset, and my mom came in and asked "Whats wrong?!" I said "THEY KILLED GODZILLA!".
