Besides the original, I would have to say GMK.

The best ones (that I've seen so far) to me are GMK, Godzilla vs. King Gidorah, and Gojira.

Really? I've seen most fans praise it as one of the best post-showa movies and I have to agree. Certainly the best of the Heisei series-- atleast most consistant anyway.
