I love it! It's just as impressive, and more film-accurate to boot!
@devianteist
there is no need to tip that fedora and throw the first punch again okay? LOL let's remember last time you did that you went to cry because of my defense over your first questionable actions against me (and what did you expect from starting the insult in the first place? practice what you preach kiddo), now you don't want that and you know it lol!
but just maybe not needing evidence has healed your wounds. let's be real here, you insult but cant take an insult yourself and resort to running to the mods, but here you are stirring the pot again. why don't you take a timeout mkay? That'll be a good boy
Gametheory has a neat little video that could be relevent to this (search them on Youtube). The video, I believe, is related the Zelda Timeline and it being wrong.
Going off what Gametheory stated, I can speculate this;
1 Alt. Timeline) Everyone hated Gojira so much, that the movie was removed from all theatres and never shown again. (That was depressing as hell to type).
2 Alt. Timeline) Godzilla '98 was a success and sequels were developed. Godzilla's official design was changed to the iguana, and the original Godzilla was redubbed Zilla. (That was just as depressing as the other one.)
3 Atl. Timeline) Gojira was such a success that millions, if not billions, of dollars were put into producing more movies that were of such great quality, no movie could rival them. They, however, did not take the childish turn, and were incredibly realistic in their portrayal of the kaiju.
@skreooonk1789- Yes, he is quite rude isn't he?
As for why I agreed with Junkerde, I simply wish to see visual evidence because that would make it all the more awesome. That, and I tend to be a skeptic by nature.
@JoshuaHopkins- Now that I've actually read that all the way through (the post with the time and dates), I feel visual evidence isn't needed.
Actually, now I am quite jealous. He's done had a nice message from the studio I respect most!
I think it's amazing, but i hope in the theater it will be louder and I think it could use some reverb.
I am glad to hear Toho liked the new movie. If you remember in godzilla 98 the director cast charaters to resemble Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert to extend his political interests on the film industry. The Iguana movie was bad in of it self, but for a director to take one of the worlds iconic charactors and destroys its legacy because of his petty disgruntalments is inexcusable. I believe Gareth Edwards will redeem the west's interest and love for one of the worlds most beloved hero's to Japans standards. Thank you Garteth.
It's not the biggest discovery so I didn't want to post a new thread but I was just watching the extended sneak peak and I noticed something else not talked about on here. It's not as big of a reveal as some in the teaser but if you pause the sneak peak at the right part as the flares are shooting into the sky (during their ascension) the camera BRIELFY catches some of godzilla's fingers in the shot. Thought that was kinda cool gives is a little more detail into how his hands look
In a world where Godzilla '98 was considered good, we would not be having Godzilla '14, because no one would feel like there was a need for it. There probably would have been a Zilla sequel or two.
In its defense, the Zilla sequel sounded much more interesting than the original.

people would still hate it. They hate the 1998 version with a furor beyond thought. I think Zilla is a pretty cool looking monster (i'l probably get 10 lashes just for that), but it seems there is no debating the haters. They have made up their minds and i doubt a seccond chance for Emerich would have changed that. Maybe if the film and creature weren't called Godzilla, then things would have been different.
they are g fans also I have a name for transformers fans Autobros and sistercons.
G-Fans work for me. Gojiranuts just gave the wrong mental image 0_0
^Exactly. Toho said they "liked" GINO as well, but of course they're going to like something that plugs in a boatload of merchandising revenue. It was only after the fact they became overprotective of Godzilla.
I doubt that's the case here, but food for thought.
Guys stop arguing over bull shit ok, its getting fukkin stupid.....The only critic I care about is me. I saw godzilla vs megalon when Iwas about 3. By the time iI was about 12 Iowned every godzilla available in america. By the time iI was 15 again, I had every godzilla movie in america, up to destroyer. Im sure alot of you are like me. so it means a lot to me that they dont let us down, and I DO NOT think they will, based on what Iseen. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. some of the Godzilla movies were a little cheesy towards the middle especially when you noticed that they use the same film in ghiderah the three-headed monster, Godzilla vs monster zero and Godzilla vs gigan. Def wasnt happy king king 1 either. and everybody talks about the first movie which was very good but dont forget the second one Godzilla raids again also known as gigantis the fire monster. 2 of my favs, I also loved vs biollante. Very gritty fighting. Jus want to kick ass takes names and maybe a fatality mortal combat style...... and a few sequels.
As some have already said... We're "G-Fans". We've always been "G-Fans". We have a magazine named after us called, "G-Fan". We will always be "G-Fans" and a single thread that will fade into obscurity on an online forum isn't going to change us from being called "G-Fans".
and? i think youll get a better unbiased look when it comes the rounds with the public.
good for toho then, but this isnt really any confirmation. best thing is to see some OUTSIDE public response first.
G-Fans, that's what it is and that works for us I think
Toho loves Legendary's movie? YES, YES, A MILLION TIMES YEEEESSSS!!!! I love this news, I knew Toho would love it, I knew it all along, and I'm more than happy to hear Toho actually LOVES IT, frankly the complete opposite reaction of TriStar's Zilla 98.
@AwsomeJaijuFan Dude, take a chill pill. If that doesn't work, take one of those chill strips that you put on your tongue. Chill.
@skreooonk1789
and asking for pics is rude how? also where did you make the conclusion that "just because i was talented i could be arrogant"? You are making up false conclusions from nowhere but yourself and that shows alot of ignorance.
My art has nothing to do with this and you know it. You are just trying to find a scapegoat and im sorry my friend, wipe the tears now, because that is not the issue here. Did I call josh any names, did I make any huge offense? Nope, just asked for pictures, so you can continue wasting your time on getting OVER dramatic on this simple situation all you want LOL!
@dinozilla
understood, but he should also share a pic. But again im not bashing anyone for believing him, good on you guys then.
@Something Real- Have fun snooping. It takes a while to find anyone actually taking commissions sometimes.
@Everyone else- I'm liking the feedback. A lot of Orga love going around.

Godzilla: The Revenge of MUTO Monsters!!
Tagline: Their War. Our end.
TOHO loves it.. as opposed to the 98 film.. which they hated... so this can only mean.. sequels.. and they will refer to it as the Edwards Series. that would be cool if it happens.
@Grim58
I see where you are coming from, but I completely disagree. Stan Lee, the creator of some of world greatest superheros (and one of the men that I most admire) gives nothing but praise to the movie versions of the characters that he created. But we all know that some of the Marvel movies (Iron Man 3, Spiderman 3, Fantastic Four, Daredevil) were less than stellar. And personally, I think the art work by Jack Kirby (FF, Thor, X-Men etc) and John Romita (SpiderMan) are better than today's artist (even though I admit I haven't seen a whole lot of it). I believe that Godzilla 2014 will be one of the best movies of the year. And I think it will go down as a monumental acheivement in film-making, like "Jaws" in 1975. In fact, I believe that the pace of Godzilla 2014 will be similar to the pace (and blueprint) of Steven Spielberg's "Jaws."
I think G-Fan is the accepted term, but after Pacific Rim I wouldn't mind being referred to as a "Kaiju Groupie." ;)
Great share! Oh! One fat-healthy Godzilla...I'm loving it! :D
1. Male
2. 54
3. Godzilla: King of the Monsters
4. Godzilla: King of the Monsters
5. Massachusetts, U.S.A.
Good effort but take my advice & try not to share it on anything directly related with WB. They blocked my Godzilla (2014) tribute video (for some lame copyright issue) on youtube for France, Germany & USA! Grrr! Anyway, I've also uploaded it on vimeo :D

I find it amusing, as well as very selective, that Toho's opinion of the reinvision of their baby as objective seeing as their taste in films is scewed by the very films they are known for. I don't have to remind anyone that old Spider-Man, Batman & Superman issues have some of the most dated artwork within their treasured pages when compared to the photoshopped artwork of today. No one can deny that they are classics & the stories they tell are still honored & valued today. Toho's Godzilla movies are no different, especially when the depth of their mythology easily rivals anything found in the pages of Marvel or DC. Don't confuse technilogical limitations with a lack of passion or even a message. In fact, in this respect, any Godzilla film can easily rival those greats such as Scarface or even the Godfather itself. Only NOW has the King of the Monsters been given the type of attention, respect and budget that he so rightfully deserves.
So, techological feats aside, if those as passionate as Toho are pleased with the work that someone else has done with their own creation, that is MORE than enough for me.
Honestly, I've been calling us, and Gamera fans, G-fans colloquially. It just has a simple but clear flow to it.
Good luck with whatever name you guys settle on. How does "Gojiranuts" sound? Just wondering.
