Different fandoms have clever names they attribute to themselves Here's a few examples:

Star Trek-Trekkies

Doctor Who-Whovians

My Little Pony-Bronies

TMNT-Shellheads

Firefly-Browncoats

ICP-Inbred, felonious, mouth-breathers

Any ideas on what to refer to ourselves as Godzilla fans?

Honestly, I've been calling us, and Gamera fans, G-fans colloquially. It just has a simple but clear flow to it.

I think G-Fan is the accepted term, but after Pacific Rim I wouldn't mind being referred to as a "Kaiju Groupie." ;)

G-fan seems to already be our name.

Kaiju Groupie could be used for fans of kaiju tokusatsu films.

Deviation is not shameful. Conforming is.

As some have already said... We're "G-Fans". We've always been "G-Fans". We have a magazine named after us called, "G-Fan". We will always be "G-Fans" and a single thread that will fade into obscurity on an online forum isn't going to change us from being called "G-Fans".
