Leaked audio for Godzilla King of the monsters wondercon footage
I'm pretty sure the Skullcrawlers are smaller than that.
He also broke out of ice by the end of Godzilla x MechaGodzilla, after being hit by Kiryu's Absolute Zero cannon.
There was Godzilla: Final Wars, though it was less him breaking out and more him being intentionally freed by the Gotengo and Captain Douglas.
question besides Kong vs Godzilla, has there been any other time where Godzilla broke out of ice? The only other film I can remember that even has ice in it is Godzilla raids again but that was him getting trapped in ice. To me, I really like that idea and can't wait to see that in the film.
As one of the few people who actually liked the MUTOs from G14 I'm glad this comic explores their origins a bit more. As much as I love Rodan, Mothra, Ghidorah and the other classic Toho monsters, I think it's important to bring something fresh to the table when you're creating your own cinematic universe, instead of just being a copy -> paste of the original.
Godzillatheking123,
I really don't. Which is why I started around day 90.
I think my marathon leading into G14 consisted of my favorite G and Toho films, as well as the '33 and '05 King Kongs, Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, Cloverfield and Pacific Rim.
I wish I had the time you guys have for marathon watch.
The feel good vibe given off by this movie is really strong. Let us all hope the end product is as good as the hype it gives off.
The Skullcrawlers are toast.
Before the 2014 film I marathoned the entire Godzilla series along with , Rodan, The Mysterians, Varan, Mothra, Battle in Outer Space, Gorath, Dogora, Frankenstein vs. Baragon, War of the Gargantuas, Yog: Monster from Space and somehow suffered through the Mothra Trilogy.
This year I have far less time and now that there are five more Godzilla movies since 2014, I think I'll just stick with the series proper this year.
You know I said I didn't need to see anymore but god I want to see this footage now....
Very nice! I'm planning a marathon myself, but I sadly don't own any of the Mothra movies, so the over 30 Godzilla movies will have to do lol
Matt Frank really is the best Godzilla artist
Gtdd71 Terribly sorry, but I don't. Could you please elaborate?

^ Edit feature is being worked on! Hahaha my apologies!
*I can't agree they're all boring.
The edit feature is in need of an overhaul.
Titan of Water,
Agreed. As someone who watches Monster Zero solely for the cast, I can't agree they're boring all boring. Sure, there's Godzilla movies where the cast isn't interesting, but there's also some fine characters in many of them. In fact I've learned that the Godzilla movies with the most monster screen time tend to be my least favorite.
On the topic of Dougherty though, I think he's straddling a line. He worded it just carefully enough. Granted, these movies aren't "famous" for their characters. And yeah, they aren't the main event--the title creatures are. I get that, but it doesn't mean there aren't enjoyable characters in these films.
Had he flat out said these movies don't have a repertoire of interesting characters, that would've turned me completely off.
Well I think one of the new monsters in this the new movie coming up will be against us I hope you understand what I was trying to say
Well, that’s fine if you think so. I feel that we need humans in Godzilla so we can have a film with substance, and isn’t just a mindless Michael Bay-esque action flick.
I'd love to see the humans get the boot. They are all just filler space that are boring as church as we wait for Godzilla. I edited out all the humans from 1954-2004 back in the day. 25 hours of pure Godzilla kicking ass! Large Super Dragon Godzilla continuity! It paved way for my Suitmation fan film "Wisconsin Godzilla" the story of how Quetzalcoatl supercharged Godzilla with holy fire to drive off King Ghidorah and Bagan! No human bullshit! Amen!

An interesting new addition to the lore having Jinshi Mushi here be the progenitor to the MUTOs from the 2014 film.
Also, I feel like the species as a whole should be renamed as "Dragon Beetles" now. It sounds much cooler as a species name, AND it fits given the MUTOs possess both reptilian and insectoid features.
At the very least, this looks like the kind of creature whose species as a whole could rival Godzilla's.
Dang the rodan mask is creepy
Interesting
Absolutely amazing
Awesome. The Muto would win.
Daddy is very angry.
Don’t get me wrong, I really dig Michael Dougherty, but having a Godzilla film without human characters is a horrible idea in my opinion.
Its arms are still really drawing my attention. They just don't quite look right.
So, it does look like this new monster is related to the Mutos. That's pretty cool.
The definitely pronounce it "Ghee-Drah" in the dub. Bellucci Productions dubbed Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster and supposedly thought the "o" vowel was redundant. So they tried to make it closer to "hydrah" do to the similarities.
I grew up with this pronunciation as well, but was sort of relieved when it was officially recognized as "Ghi-Dora" in English. Sounds more alien and less western inspired.
@Tayla Mayde I'll have to re-watch Ghidorah and Monster Zero in Japanese, but it's definitely Ghee-Drah in the English dubs, so maybe in the translation it got changed. In any case, I've never been able to call him/it Ghi-Dora. Always be Ghee-Drah to me. Just a preference at this point.
@KoldWarKid62 it has always been pronouced as ghidorah if you watch the showa ones in japanese you can them say ghidorah so fast he sounds like 2 syllables ghidadrah
