YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#Go team Rodan
@Gmkgoji
Yeah, the source is on a TohoKingdom (his name is Sayaka). The guy that I contacted back in early August though also eventually went to the forums. His name is, ironically, Fake. He’s definitely legit.
Another detail I remembered (for heavens sake, the leak mentioned a Titan called Methuselah): at the end of the film via news clippings, a kaiju named Scylla goes to some lake while Rodan goes to Mt Fuji or Fiji, one of those two.
Raiga well okay than. i'm pretty sure my details are from toho kingdom as well
@Gmkgoji
The majority of those details don’t come from the leak. That comes from someone else not associated with the info my source has provided us. Those details along with the source are questionable, definitely not confirmed whatsoever, unlike my source.
Another detail that aren’t yet officially revealed but shown through the leak (for heavens sake, the leak even makes mention of a kaiju called Methuselah):
-Newspaper clippings at the end of the film reveal a kaiju called Scylla is located at some lake somewhere
MDK 2 (MinecraftDinoKaiju) Hate to burst your bubble, but uh... only 4 of the other 17 titans appear in the movie.
Just the monsters them selves. I love all of the godzilla monsters desgins. (expect for minilla) Thats what made me a godzilla fan!
TheGMan123 I hope so. But if not, well then, I told you so. But there's really only one way to find out. (Insert my forum signature here.)
I imagine that a lot of the scenes will intertwine the monsters with the human story so as to be more narratively efficient. Not only that, doing this could be a good way of helping to move along the story in a creative and visually appealing manner that has room for plenty of easter eggs and symbolic imagery.
Given how obviously Michael Dougherty and the marketing has played up this film fixing the issue of Gareth Edwards's film where the monster action wasn't enough of a focus, I trust that things will go smoothly.
Gmkgoji Well, I would rather have minor spoilers about screen time over being confused as to how in the world 17+ monsters, a human story, and the main 4 would all share the amount of time (132 minutes) that the film has in total.
Well, the monsters will be getting at least 1/2 of the runtime.
That's been confirmed by Mike Dougherty.
Anyways, according to my sources, (minor spoilers ahead)
Godzilla has a least 1/3 of the monster screentime.
Rodan is sadly considered the least important, but has more screentime than Mothra, who only has 6-8 minutes not counting the larval mothra
OH MY GOD THATS SO COOL
EmptyH I have seen Son of Kong yes, to be honest I kind of got what they did with it. They wanted to make it bigger but due to budget constraints they couldn't, although it is a fun movie to watch. Kong's son is funny too.
This looks awesome. But out of all of those, why are there only two pieces that used the proper dorsal plate design for Godzilla in this film while the others used either the 2014 design or a combination of the two? Other than that, I love the use of accuracy in these pieces. Nice find.
EmptyH Sequel, not squeal. Lol ;)
I loved Save the earth so much. I would rather get a new godzilla game, than a remasters. But if we get a remaster of save the earth they should put biollante in the game (fully)
Gmkgoji Same thing happened with the MUTOs and Godzilla, but that was only three monsters. With "17. And counting.", I'm worried about the amount of screentime each of these monsters will actually get if we need to both focus on the 4 main monsters (Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah), and the human story as well as the new monsters that may appear. This is definitely way more than Kong: Skull Island had in terms of monsters, so don't go using that argument because it doesn't work for me. (And the same applies to everyone else too.) So if anyone could find a proper solution and explanation, please let me know. Thank you.
I Just Can`t Wait for this Movie, And the godzilla themed cups at movie theaters!
This is some of the best godzilla KOTM artwork I have ever seen!
I'm more of a Jurassic Park fan, heck Dinosaurs and Jurassic Park are the reasons I joined the site a few months ago, but I'm more excited for Godzilla King Of The Monsters than I was for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, and that's saying quite a lot. I know this movie won't disappoint, but I'm still wary after JW:FK. What was I talking about again? Oh yeah, why I became a Godzilla fan. Well.... I don't entirely know. I think it began with when I heard the iconic music for the first time as a kid. Later I found out where the music came from, Godzilla. I searched for Godzilla on my channels and I was lucky enough to find one of his movies, him versus the giant Meganeura kaiju, wow I can't believe I don't remember its name...... Anyways, I loved Godzilla after that, but I couldn't find very many movies. I saw the original 2 black and white movies, and I have the original Godzilla V.S. King Kong, which I haven't watched because I'm waiting to watch it before KOTM or Godzilla Vs King Kong. Honestly I'm not much of a Kong fan, much more a Godzilla fan. He was always more interesting and bad*** to me, from his roars, size, movies, origins, design, and just the atmosphere that he creates whenever he appears in his movies. Even in movies that aren't his own he commands the world to bow down to him with his mighty roar, and the world would bow to him if it could (i.e. his roar at the end of Kong Skull Island). I also watched Godzilla vs Monster Zero and a few others that I can't remember. I even watched ZILLA 1998 (that thing is not Godzilla, if treated as Godzilla she is to be forgotten, if treated and Zilla she is one of my favorite kaiju) and the animated series that followed it. When Godzilla 2014 came out, I was happy that it wasn't as bad as America's last attempt to adapt Godzilla to a new series, but it was still kinda boring and had nowhere near as much Godzilla time as it should, even the MUTOs didn't get enough screen time. And they could have done so many things to keep the kaiju from reaching the coast that it's stupid, yet much more awesome, that they "let them fight". Still, it was a step up, and it would have 2 hopefully better sequels in 5 years.... oh crap.... BUT they are only a year apart from each other.... perfect time management..... and from what I've seen of KOTM, it won't disappoint. This will bring Godzilla to life, or at least come close. This will be the bad*** Godzilla we all knew as a kid. This will be the Godzilla we dream to see in American theaters. Almost forgot about Godzilla Resurrection. I really wanted to see it but I had no idea when it came out and where to find it, I still don't know where to find a dvd!!!
It seems to be free but it helps me feel comfortable
Raiga, Yo, you know your stuff. I commend you. Btw, welcome to the forum! Hope you enjoy you stay!
Some other things not mentioned in the plot leak above:
Ghidorah tries to "suck" the life out of Godzilla similar to final wars
Whitford says something along the lines of "Boy, i'm glad thats over" right before Godzilla jumpscare swims past the monarch base
The Godzilla/Mothra sex joke is made after Mothra is called "The queen of the monsters"
When Rodan approches Godzilla after killing Ghidorah, Godzilla glares at Rodan, ready to take him on, but instead, Rodan slightly shrinks away as the camera switches between the two titans. Slowly, as 4 other titans begin to appear, Rodan bows to Godzilla.
Thats really all I can remember
That was a nice story. Thank you for sharing.
I also love the OG King Kong. Have you seen the squeal Son of Kong? I enjoy it just as much, it not more, than the original. Especially the character development that Karl Denham goes through.
Bruuuh, you guys do realize this leak mentioned the gonorrhea joke back in August? Where's my evidence? Well just check the TK forums back in August; I was the person that contacted the source than then leaked all this info (Hokmuto). This is totally real. A few very minor things will change here and there, but they'll be minor for sure. Here are a few added details not mentioned in the summary and not officially revealed yet, but were revealed through the leak:
-Millie Bobby Brown flicks off Charles Dance
-There's a Godzilla/Mothra sex joke
-Kyle Chandler falls in some chasm in Antarctica and is then saved by Hawkins' character
-Whitford's character says something along the lines of "Serizawa would say 'Let them Fight' here" when the Boston battle is about to happen
-There's a joke in the senate hearing that features the MUTO nuzzle scene and is deemed inappropriate.
Those are the only ones I can remember from the top of my head.
Actually, at least 1/2 of the screentime is monsters
That sounds awesome, and it looks cool, but I feel like that 1) this should have been something that happened in the anime trilogy, and 2) (If you support this theory.) it would make more sense for Biollante to create SpaceGodzilla. But that's just my opinion. It still looks cool, though.
I can imagine the potential from this, but I unfortunately can also see the downsides of this. I hope that this is done right.
I might be in the minority, but I actually wished it was longer (or at least a director's cut of the film) so that we can have more monster action because of the fact that we also have a human story in this film as well, and I don't want the film to suffer the same reception that the 2014 movie got, as well as what happened with the Netflix Anime Trilogy (where the humans took the front/center stage, and the monsters were in the background, or used as props rather than actual threats, or something else entirely, but mainly that they [the monsters] are not the main focus despite the marketing suggesting otherwise).
But that's just me. And I could be wrong. But who knows at this point? There's only one thing we can do in the meantime. (Insert my forum signature here.)
This is awesome.
Thats really cool and creepy
Godzilla king of the monster's budget happens to be 200 million dollars. It's marketing budget is 100-150 million. so, at minimum, Godzilla king of the monsters needs to make at least 350-400 million to make a profit.
NICE! I can only imagine the implications and potential of this.
What got me curious was if Saban had Power Rangers from Super Sentai, we can also see an Americanized version of Toho original tokusatsu like Gensheishin Justirisers, Chouseishin Gransazers etc.
Sorry, but what is BS and what is true
Summit Kaiju International ® Welcome to the forum! I see the art you've posted. Well, enjoy your stay!
I'm quite thrilled at the possibilities this movement suggests. I'm really hoping KoTM make serious bank at the box office next month.
