It was a good choice after being convinced. Godzilla was a great threat, he even sacrificed him self and his lab stuff to make sure ppl don't use ideas to harm others. Even though destroyah was created anyway years later but I guess during their present it was important to finish gojira it was a bad idea for the future because of destroyah but gojira was the only threat at the time so yes even though he didn't want to necessarily do it he got convinced and did it.
Yes he did the right thing,Emiko and Ogata convinced him though.
Daisuke Serizawa was, in a way, forced to use the Oxygen destroyer. He didn't want to, but he had to use it
I honestly agree that it was the best choice he could have made in that scenario. It must have took a lot of courage to make that decision, and to do what he did to kill Godzilla.
For some reason I second-guess everything. It might be because morally grey choices really scare me. I really dread the day I’ll have to make one.
Serizawa was backed into a corner. He didn't want to detonate the Oxygen Destroyer at all. It was Emiko and Ogata that convinced him--And in doing so it gave him the only out to make sure humanity wouldn't use it.
Leaving Tokyo Bay barren vs. giving the Cold War more to flex over seems like a no-brainer decision.
Y'know, if you look at that section of Kong's hair, and squint, you can see Kong's hair.
yeah a snout, two eyes but one of the eyes above the "N" looks more mechanical
I'm not sure.. if that was intentional... but if it is, YEEEEEEES
Lol I loved the honest trailers I don't take it personally offensive bcs its really funny in my mind. As soon as they find the monster they STARE.... XD
Gman: Oh I wouldn’t say I was mad at it. I was just trying to say I strongly disagree with it. Some parts were funny. I also just don’t like honest trailers that much anymore also. It’s no use freaking out over a stupid YouTube video.
Yeah, I'm probably just over defensive about the movie, comes from being the only real fan of Godzilla in the family.
I actually kind of liked the EWW for G'14(almost entirely for the gag about removing sins), but I haven't watched anything from Cinema Sins since like 2017. And without them I bet we wouldn't have had that "Run to the side you idiot!" gag in Kong: Skull Island.
As much as I agree with the Honest Trailer take on the movie, even I can't take it as any serious criticism--It's Honest Trailers; they're known for good natured prodding and poking at every movie's holes. Whether you agree with it or not, just accept that it has problems (like every movie Honest Trailers spoofs) and it's fun to poke at inconsistencies.
I mean, c'mon, "Sigh as a cast with 3 Emmys and 5 Oscar nominations between them tackles a big budget Sharknado."
And the "stare" montage was gold. And remember... The real alpha is corporate inertia!
Now Cinema Sins... They're just awful at their job. I'm sure they'll muck this up tastelessly.
I'll admit I let out a few begrudging chuckles watching it. It's at least a decent indicator of what complaints to expect from people who aren't fans of the franchise. Still a shame it wasn't as much of a promotion for the movie as Pacific Rim's, but I've yet to see an Honest Trailer that tops that one, so C'est la vie.
Well, we're officially back in business.
The Honest trailer was hilarious.
Normie: OMG Marvel movies are DA BEST
Me:

@Titan of Water: Heh, I'm guessing you've seen the Honest Trailer too?
Sorry mate, I haven't been making these topics for quite a while and I am not looking to pick it back up right now.
Orga would be a nice addition though, but I think Ghidorah has already established himself as the true alien invader of the Monsterverse.
Zilla,cloverfield,gigan,all mecha,cretaceous ghidorah,monster x and vastatosaurus rex
Hands down: GMK. Kaneko ftw. Legendary 2019 was epic too. The whole movie did a phenomenal job of modernization, yet paying homage to all of the legacy material. Distant third is Gojira ‘54. Nice and horrifying design.
Congrats, and I hope you've had a Happy Birthday!
Because it was Anguirus's first appearance, 'nuff said. :P
In all seriousness though, it wasn't my favorite G-flick ever, but I didn't think it was as bad as I had heard going in. The constant narration grated on me a little, but overall it was a fine entry in the franchise and it did have its moments. I especially liked how the random prison riot messes up the whole plan towards the end, it made the world of Godzilla feel more alive, like the universe doesn't just stop whatever it was doing whenever a giant lizard shows up. I have only seen it once though, so I'm probably forgetting some other highlights.
Hey today’s my birthday, if you want to know my history with the Big G, go to the thread “My History with Godzilla”.
Godzilla, he is much larger I don't think a little bit of acid would stop him any way since he did take on three huge gravity beams at once point blank. I don't think some acidic sludge would stop him plus I'm pretty sure the atomic bomb, and mothra energy would give him the obvious advantage
If Godzilla could go meltdown mode and send the heat wave like He did to Ghidorah in KOTM that could work.
They want us to Chernobyl ourselves XD. But specifically, they might mean to not interfere in some areas, such as stop deforesting, habitat destruction, etc because it had a focus on nature righting everything, and titans bringing back nature, so the best thing is to leave it alone and stop destroying it to let it heal. Idk, that’s just the basic idea I took from it
Yes, it was clearly triggered by the radiation that continues to keep it uninhabitable 33 years later.
You can read all about in my thread “my history with Godzilla”.
Hey, they're not entirely off the mark on that one.
HUMAN habitation tends to not adapt, but nature always finds a way. Chernobyl, for example, has become quite lush in places despite the radiation.
