Okie fine, u have 32 moves left.
Also “Stupid Fun” isn’t actually the point, it was making fun of television at the time.
I also watched King Kong Vs. Godzilla (1962)
It was stupid fun
Since I only watched the 3 MonsterVerse movies, here's mine:
1. Godzilla Vs. Kong
2. Godzilla: King of The Monsters
3. Godzilla 2014
5. But
6. I haven't watched
7. Everything else.
Let me list them......
Shin
Kotm
14
Planet Eater (I won’t explain)
Gvk
Monster Planet
Mechagodzilla city
Keep in mind I really like all these films.
It's kind of hard to rank them.
My ranking (as of now):
1. Godzilla 2014
2. Godzilla vs Kong
3. Godzilla: King of the Monsters
4. Shin Godzilla
(Honestly 2,3,4 are kind of tied with each other I like them equally)
Dead Last: The Anime Trilogy
(the movies on this list that I legitimately don't like)
I would say KOTM is 2nd behind GVK, but not close in the slightest....
I think it’s automatic...
14 is also sepcial to me
Ummmmm.......
I can’t deny that
Oh and SarcasticGoji, because you praise Shin to high heck.
I'm the only person here that likes Godzilla Vs. Kong...
You like shins? ;)
Shin because I like Shin
What made you think I’d pick it?
I knew you were going to pick that, but I was wondering if you'd pick something else...I was wrong
;)
What do you mean called it
Oh, I need to see that
Called it.
How is it not even close?
Godzilla 2014 respectively.
Understandable.
Rewatching movies and noticing something new is always fun.
One of my favorite hidden details in a movie that I didn't notice the first few times was in Godzilla 2014. During the train scene with the Female MUTO, I noticed that she actually mimics the sounds of the radio static and train whistle, which honestly makes the scene somewhat creepier.
Shin Godzilla and isn't close.
My pick is going to stay GVK. At least for now...
It's hard for me to tell if it's Atami Castle from King Kong vs. Godzilla or Nagoya Castle, from Mothra vs. Godzilla. I think you're right though. It's the former.
you probably already new, but the castle that hedorah is over, is the same on Godzilla and King Kong destroyed in 1963
SarcasticGoji,
Don't look too deeply into the end credits as a storytelling device. Just think of it as a friendly hello from old friends.
Also I was just speculating the possibility of the credits being a separate story...
Its fun nonetheless.
SarcasticGoji,
Yup. It's Megalon's horn!
Also the Kumonga frame has:
1:
2:
3:
Also the older woman in the background of frame 16 looks like Emiko in Godzilla vs Destroyah
Oh dang it, noticed it too late.
@Gman
Jet Jaguar is holding a megalon horn!!!!
i just figured it out?
Sorry for bad typing I was just excited
SasquaDash,
It was less about watching it over and over, more about getting screenshots. Even then I've yet to find everything.
It was only recently pointed out to me that Jet Jaguar is holding Megalon's horn and there are three more characters in Shin Godzilla for the Kumonga frame. I'm still trying to figure out everyone in the final frame as well as who all the G'98 cast members are.
SarcasticGoji,
I'll try to clarify my comment. The end credits is literally just a big Easter egg hunt for fans. Other than Mei it doesn't have anything to do with, or give away anything about, Singular Point's main story line.
Which is ultimately why I posted it. Had the end credits had anything to do with the story proper, I would've avoided the spoilers.
The great thing about Godzilla Singular Point is that instead of funneling fan service into story stopping moments that might leave casual audiences confused, it usually ends on well earned cliffhangers that justify this end montage of fun Easter eggs. The show gets back to character, ala, earlier Showa films, so the emphasis on them during the credits is telling.
As for the Anime Trilogy, I liked it. I'll agree with SasquaDash only as far as the quality and execution being debatable. However, I enjoyed its themes and I enjoyed the fact that the directors looked at the Godzilla franchise as something different than a monster mash. They're not crowd pleasers, no, but I find them to be more interesting movies than a great deal of the films in the franchise. And I'd rather watch them than some specific titles.
But comparing Singular Point to the Anime trilogy in terms of expectation is very silly. It's a completely different production staff, with a completely different production company, with a completely different style, with a completely different story. It would be like seeing Planet Eater in 2019 and expecting King of the Monsters to be exactly like it, simply because they're both back-to-back Godzilla movies. (Which, by the by, I loved Planet Eater.)
Smoke hedorah hype!
Yeah, those thoughts string closely to mine. But to extend your point....if I had written the movie, I would've nixed Josh and Bernie and focused on her tension between Mark. THEN I would have her go alone to find out APEX's intentions and have her get a self-reflection journey and figure out if she's right to support Big G. And anyways, WB and Legendary kept the character in GVK for one reason (probably), because Millie Bobby Brown is an insanely popular actress.
My thoughts on Madison Russell in GVK in a nutshell.
