I'm gonna deviate from the mainstream here and pick a "white" atomic breath. I dunno,I guess I wanna see the pure destruction and atmosphere of the original displayed in Godzilla's atomic breath by being white,a "ghostly" beam of destruction. Either that,or blue with white as the centre.

Honestly they aren't doing themselves any favors holding off on the trailers. There's literally no positive to holding off the trailers for a big movie like this, as it can only help to build hype, and reach an audience that wouldn't know about the movie yet

The thing that pisses me off the most about this whole trailer predicament is how they actually have 2 of them done, that don't even really show Godzilla but they only showed it to Hall H attendees. At least release the concept trailer, you're in the post-production phase, I think it's safe to say the concept worked.

This is just the plot of freddy vs jason with godzilla thrown in. Like literally almost a word for word copy.

Uhh godzilla is going to be an anti hero in this movie but godzilla has never been an actual hero in any film, the most good he can get is anti hero. He was originally a villain. But it has been confirmed that he will be an anti hero in the new film.

There have been huge rumours that the first trailer will be released in either November,December, or January. No later then that my friend.

I want this to be new era of Godzilla movies/series. I dont want them focus too much on Godzilla as a threat but follow the series of old where he is looked at as earths savior. I would love this movie to be the start of the bond between Godzilla and the humans and then start bringing back the classics for the second movie like Mecha-Godzilla, Mothra, or even his all time Nemesis king Ghidorah. I have high hopes and i just hope they do not let us down like last time!

We already know one of the monsters is an insect-like creature that was much smaller than Godzilla. I've seen drawings of it, and I am not too overwhelmed by its design. It looks a little awkward. As for the main antagonist monster, I am hoping for something bigger and potentially more powerful than Godzilla. No, not invincible, just very powerful. I think Legendary should take a similar approach with this monster as they did with the kaiju in Pacific Rim in terms of design. And no, the second monster WON'T be the centipede shown in last year's Comic Con teaser. That was test footage that did not show anything from the final product whatsoever, and it was shown long before filming even started. And, based on what others have said, the test footage from last year was shown at this Comic Con, and the centipede was replaced with the new insect thing.

Not to bring Pacific rim into this conversation but I thought the kaiju's powers in pacific rim were very realistic and yet awsome. Maybe we should use something like that with the new monsters.

Well since there's supposed to be 2 of them 1 should pretty much be a way to show how strong godzilla really is and not offer much of a challenge while the other should be a fairly strong monster that manages to at least come close to godzilla's strength. Nothing too powerful though since if sequels do come the monsters will surely progressively get stronger so don't want to set the bar to high. As for powers, abilities, and how they look i don't really care all that much as the powers they could have is so broad there's no really way i could come up with wait they'll use. I guess looks somewhat matter but a lot will come down to taste as I'm sure we all have godzilla monsters we like the look of while others may find them to look completely foolish. I for 1 love kings ceasar but I know he is not exactly thought of as a top tier godzilla monster it terms of looks

I would like to see a level of destruction similar to the aftermath of Godzilla's raid on Tokyo in the 54 film, which in turn was supposed to mirror the devasation left behind by the atomic bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in WW 2. In fact, if they are not planning on killing big G in this film then that's probably how the film will end, and I hope so.

Clearly you haven't watched many films since there have been already many exceptions to that made up rule. Hell, even if it were true then there should also be a law against the american law enforcement looking like total morons while getting completely massacred by some gun-toting badass which has also happened in many hollywood films.

No, and considering Gareth Edwards has already planned a sequeal it seems highly unlikely(unless he's going the Godzilla Raids Again route which is also unlikely). Killing off Godzilla in this first reboot would pretty much defeat the perpous of building him up as an unstoppable force of nature. And for that matter, there should be nothing even resembling the oxygen destrpoyer. That concept may have worked in 1954 but it wouldn't work in a monster film that is trying to be "real". Like incredible fulk, I too wish to see an ending similar to G 2000, or at the very least have Godzilla be prevented from causing more destruction for a time by burying him under an ice-cap or something.

Yeah I agree with durp004. I dont want to have a continuation of the previous or first film I want us have no idea about godzilla. In fact I dont want to even know what he is, I want his origin to be mysterious. Plus its not going to have anything to do with the first films because it has already been confirmed that this new movie is indeed a reboot of the franchise. And the whole godzilla's origin thing was what I didn't like about godzilla 1998. In the beginning of the film they show footage of iguanas and atomic testings but you cant out right tell us that hes a fucking iguana, I mean just say that to yourself "Godzilla the mutant iguana".

Sorry if this is off topic but the only thing I can think that I hated and everyone else liked was godzilla's size. I kind of wish they made him bigger like about 500 meters or at least 300 meters. But everyone says that the size that I want godzilla to be is way to big. But Im not asking for him to be at the point where his head is above the clouds I just think he should show more of his gigantic size to the next level. GMK is my all-time favourite godzilla because I liked the way how he absorbed a bunch of air in his mouth and made the atomic breath look super powerful, and I love his design, brings back memories of godzilla 1954. Godzilla 2014 might be my next favorite but I cant say yet until the movie comes out. And the godzilla in final wars was to skinny to me. Just sharing my thoughts.

Yes he took out all those monsters but let's be honest, besides monster x, godzilla, and arguably Gigan and mothra all the monsters in final wars were severly underpowered when compared to their former selves we'd seen in prior movies. If you really want to go into godzilla nearly dying, as your argument for why keizer is the strongest mechag has almost killed godzilla in every movie he's been in, only failing in the heisei version because Rodan sacrificed himself to bring him back. Back to the point that in the showa series Godzilla literally always had a friend whenever he fought king ghidorah so in at least the showa series king ghidorah could arguably be the strongest monster in it. Destroyah fought godzilla at his strongest, and and took shots from the red spiral ray that had 1 hit every monster prior in that series. Destroyah is by far the strongest monster godzilla's ever fought, but second is easily king ghidorah or mechag. How many monsters had to fight King ghidorah in DAM? It took 3 of tohos strongest monsters to fight king ghidorah when he first showed up. There is just so much evidence pointing to king ghidorah being stronger than keizer. True keizer did almost kill him but that was after he fought both monster x and gigan together before mothra intervened.

If they do defeat him I hope they do what the 1985 version did and make it seem like he's been stopped, but not killed. This could also offer a good plot point in the second 1 like in final wars where a new monster comes and they are forced to weigh the pros and cons of releasing him

What I liked that every1 hated: Um I'm not sure about this I had no real problem with the 1998 movie as a monster movie but wasn't too big on that being a godzilla movie but i think that's somewhat of a general consensus. What I hated that every1 likes: Either Mothra or GMK. I just really don't like the character of mothra and how toho has this thing that she can never lose. GMK I just wasn't a fan of. Godzilla being the souls of dead soldiers was just dumb to me and they used ghidorah and mothra instead of the original monsters they had in mind and just didn't work well with them. It was basically Godzilla is super powerful and his strongest enemies are extremely weak so he just runs through them, then a human drills out his neck and he blows himself up. I could really go on and on about all the things I don't like. What i liked that no1 noticed: this is more to the general populace rather than godzilla fans but the whole heisei era. I think when people think of godzilla they think of the showa era 1, which isn't bad necessarily but it just gives it a more campy look than what there is. Personally the heisei era is my favorite and i can't do enough to praise it overall as the best godzilla era in my opinion. I think if people pictured the heisei era when they thought of godzilla it wouldn't be thought of as so campy.

So you are claiming that Keizer Ghidorah nearly killed Godzilla because he (Godzilla) already fought tons of monsters beforehand and was very exhausted? There is zero proof of that. Godzilla singlehandedly took out 9(?) monsters before Monster X without effort. Keizer Ghidorah is A LOT more powerful than King Ghidorah and MechaGodzilla. Destoroyah was pretty powerful, but he was still taken down by the military, you have to remember that

No I chose King ghidorah for all the reasons I gave and said it could go either way so I chose the 1 i liked more. I don't see keizer ghidorah as godzilla's strongest opponent as godzilla fought him after fighting monster X, gigan, all the other monsters in the movie, and used what I assume is a huge amount of power to shoot down the meteor that carried monster x. Was he strong? sure, but there were definitely stronger opponents throughout the godzilla series. Destroyah, MechaG, and king ghidorah come to mind above him for various reasons

very funny. Clearly you dont understand how arguments work around here, whoever posts the last say wins, I did that very thing. But please im really trying to be nice and convince you to stop trying to resurrect the argument and start something. And what because im 13 and I know everything my parents know ( yes even how babies are made and I wish I didn't here how they were made)? Anybody who judges someone by age is (really not trying to be a jerk but im out of word choices) a dick. Be careful there buddy there are somethings that I have learned faster then you ever did when you were growing up. Now please in the nicest way I could possibly say this could you please just let it go, some people have lives and have better things to do then fight with adults who clearly don't know anything about modern day child hood.
